Nestled along the scenic Clyde River, Mariners on the Waterfront is celebrated for its picturesque balconies and enviable location. Guests appreciate the great value for money and the convenience of having a club on-site for easy dinners. The area is favored for its proximity to shops and restaurants, making it a practical choice for travelers looking to explore the locale.
However, while the hotel maintains its popularity, it presents a contrast to its advertised image, especially concerning the pool area and overall room quality. The facilities are noted as a bit dated and some services, like the restaurant, are not available for all meal times. Several guests suggest it's more a three-star experience rather than the self-rated four-star label it carries.
Improvements in breakfast options could elevate the guest experience, as currently, it seems stretched. Despite these areas needing attention, the Mariners on the Waterfront offers a comfortable stay with friendly reception, attracting visitors back to its charming setting along the river.
