Hotel Atlântico Copacabana is often described as falling short of its four-star reputation. Many guests note that the facilities and services provided do not align with what one would expect from a four-star establishment. The general consensus is that the images online do not accurately depict the reality of the hotel with rooms resembling those in a 90s motel rather than a modern hotel. This has led to a number of guests feeling disappointed upon arrival.
Some guests mentioned that the hotel might have deserved the four-star rating when it was initially built or last renovated, likely in the 1970s. However, it appears that the hotel has not maintained its standards over time. The sentiment that it aligns more closely with a two-star hotel is frequently echoed through the reviews.
Breakfast offerings also received criticism with descriptions of poor quality and artificial juices not meeting the expectations for a hotel of this caliber. Despite these shortcomings, some reviews highlight the value proposition, suggesting that one receives four-star services at a three-star price.
Overall, while the hotel does not live up to its four-star rating, some guests find it to be good enough for the price, provided the expectations are managed accordingly.
