NH Mannheim Viernheim presents a mixed experience for travelers, with notable strengths and areas for improvement. The hotel captures attention with its very good price-performance ratio, offering affordable, cozy accommodations, and great value for money. Guests highlight the excellence of the basic amenities, particularly praising the parking and breakfast options, which are considered good, albeit lacking in variety for a 4-star standard.
However, the hotel shows its age, having been in operation for around 50 years, and the decor in rooms is seen as old-fashioned. While the accommodation provides essential comfort, the absence of in-room amenities like a kettle, tea, and coffee typically expected at this rating is noted. The slow internet, also requiring an additional payment for an upgrade, detracts from the convenience usually associated with a 4-star stay.
Various aspects, such as room size, more modern breakfast offerings, and certain in-room facilities like extra pillows and electric roller shutters, are highlighted as potential areas for enhancement to truly align with 4-star expectations. Additionally, the location within an industrial area coupled with the charge for parking and an overpriced breakfast adds to the list of considerations for visitors. Despite these critiques, the hotel generally appeals to budget-conscious travelers seeking substantial value during their stay in Mannheim.
