PLAZA Hotel Buchhorner Hof offers a beautiful location for travelers seeking proximity to the scenic lakeside park of Friedrichshafen and is conveniently within walking distance to the promenade and local restaurants. Despite some criticisms regarding pricing and the 4-star rating, many guests appreciate the good customer service and welcoming atmosphere provided by the hotel. For parties of four, the hotel is seen as good value for money, and some guests have expressed their intent to return for future visits.
However, the experience offered by this four-star hotel falls short of expectations in several areas. Some guests have reported issues with amenities, such as closed facilities like the bar and concerns about hot water availability. The breakfast has notably received criticism, with several patrons deeming it inadequate for a hotel of this supposed caliber. Additionally, the hotel appears to be showing its age, which has led some guests to question the legitimacy of its star rating. Instances of less-than-friendly service have also been pointed out, suggesting a need for improvement in staff competency.
Overall, while the hotel is praised for its advantageous location and certain elements of customer service, there are notable shortcomings regarding its facilities and services when compared to typical four-star standards.
