The location is truly magical with picturesque scenery and stunning views from the rooms. Additional marvels await on the property's grounds and in the surrounding area with charming villages like Portarija and Makrinitza worth exploring. Providing an ideal combination of a mountain retreat with the possibility of visiting beautiful beaches, this resort is incredibly situated at the top of the mountain. Guests have raved about the pristine and scenic location with mountain air and breathtaking beauty that is simply unforgettable.

Breakfast
Guests praise the breakfast at Manthos Mountain Resort & Spa with a variety of delicious options. Due to COVID-19, the staff serves guests while they are seated. The breakfast has a fantastic view and guests have the option to order ala carte. Some guests found the breakfast simple, while others suggested improvement in the variety of options. One guest found a stray nut in their food. However, overall, guests unanimously rate the breakfast as exceptional. Despite the limited staff, the service was accommodating and efficient.

Rooms
If you're looking for a comfortable, warm and spacious room with nice furniture, Manthos Mountain Resort & Spa is a great choice. The lobby is lovely and the staff is very helpful and kind. Some rooms have fireplaces which add to the cozy atmosphere, but unfortunately, not all rooms are well-maintained. Some rooms were not ready or cleaned properly before check-in and dead insects were found in some of the rooms. However, the executive suites were reported to be clean and comfortable. Although there are no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms, there are many other amenities such as a gym and a basketball court. Keep in mind that this resort is located far from the beach, but it is a great escape from the heat during summer. The biggest downside seems to be some maintenance issues such as broken shower hooks and non-functioning jacuzzis. Overall, if you can overlook some minor issues, Manthos Mountain Resort & Spa has exceptional rooms that would make for a fantastic stay.

Cleanliness
The Manthos Mountain Resort & Spa is praised for its outstanding standard of cleaning and the fact that rooms are cleaned daily. However, there are a few minor issues such as a slightly dirty jacuzzi and limited reception coverage. Some guests also noted dead insects, mold and the need for more attention to cleanliness in some areas. However, the majority of reviews rave about the hotel's cleanliness, including the clean and comfortable executive suites. Overall, guests are impressed with the high level of cleanliness at the Manthos Mountain Resort & Spa.

Staff
If you're looking for a hotel with impeccable staff, Manthos Mountain Resort & Spa should be at the top of your list. The hosts are incredibly polite, friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The reception staff are particularly helpful, going out of their way to assist and even offering discounts when needed. Though some staff may not be as enthusiastic, they are still kind and generous, always willing to accommodate your requests. Overall, the service is excellent with the staff taking care of everything from insect cleanups to lighting your room's fireplace. Whether you speak English, Hebrew or Greek, the staff is multilingual and always ready to assist. In short, the warm atmosphere and exceptional service provided by the staff will make your stay at Manthos Mountain Resort & Spa unforgettable.
