The Foxfields Country Hotel offers a mixed experience when it comes to their swimming pool facilities. Guests frequently highlight the pool as a lovely, clean, and sizable amenity, great for leisurely swims, with some describing it as particularly enjoyable for children. Additionally, the combination of the pool with the sauna, steam room, and gym is often praised as an added bonus to their stay.
However, there are mentions that the pool area could benefit from some updates and renovations, with specific comments about the unkempt conditions of the changing rooms and reports of a problem with wasps. The pool's temperature also seems to vary, with some finding it pleasantly warm and others noting it as too cold. Despite these mixed reviews, the pool remains a popular feature at the hotel, and many guests recommend taking a dip during their visit. Overall, while there may be some room for improvement, the pool still contributes positively to the overall experience at Foxfields Country Hotel.

If you're looking to stay at a hotel with great pool facilities, Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa might be the perfect choice for you. Although some guests experienced issues such as not being able to use the pool or finding out that children's swim times were earlier than expected without communication, for the most part, guests had a great time using the pool and sauna. Some guests found the pool to be a little chilly, but others noted that the water was nice and warm. The gym/pool facilities were also lovely. While there were some comments on the coldness of the pool and the jacuzzi being even colder, guests generally loved the spa facilities included in their overnight stay with one guest describing it as "excellent". Despite the occasional problem, overall the pool was considered a nice feature of the hotel. However, it is worth noting that children are only allowed in the pool at specific times.
