Nestled on the outskirts of Bad Oldesloe, 'Good Morning + Bad Oldesloe' serves as a tranquil retreat perfectly suited for travelers in transit. Particularly favored by those journeying between Lübeck and Hamburg or heading towards Denmark and Sweden, its location near the highway ensures easy accessibility while offering a serene and quiet environment.
The hotel receives high marks for its breakfast, which is praised for its variety, quality and accommodating dietary options. Guests appreciate the plentiful and tasty buffet selection, though there are minor criticisms related to coffee quality and pricing. Dinner, on the other hand, garners mixed reviews. While the staff and certain dishes are complimented, frequent restaurant closures and issues with food quality leave some guests disappointed.
The rooms contribute positively to the experience with their spaciousness and cleanliness. Many guests find the rooms and bathrooms large and comfortable, though some note that the decor and furnishings could use an upgrade. Cleanliness overall is often praised, but a few guests have encountered issues in older sections of the hotel, such as dust and mustiness.
Staff at 'Good Morning + Bad Oldesloe' are generally commended for their friendliness and efficiency, particularly at the reception and during breakfast. However, isolated incidents of unfriendliness have been reported during busy times.
The hotel's WiFi service receives mixed feedback with several guests experiencing weak or unreliable connections, especially in the rooms. Family-friendly accommodations are a strong point with spacious interconnected rooms and helpful staff ensuring a comfortable stay for families. The beds are mostly regarded as comfortable, though preferences for firmness vary among guests.
For business travelers, the hotel is practical yet basic. While the location and large parking lot are appreciated, the intermittent WiFi and somewhat outdated room decor may not meet all business expectations.
In summary, 'Good Morning + Bad Oldesloe' is a convenient and comfortable choice for transit travelers and families, offering spacious rooms, a solid breakfast and friendly staff with some areas for improvement in dinner service, WiFi reliability and room updates.
