Metropol Apartments & Suites in Tübingen emerges as a highly recommended choice for travelers, thanks to its exceptional central location, modern and spacious accommodations and outstanding staff service. Positioned next to the Neckar River at the historic old town's entrance, it offers picturesque views and convenient access to local attractions, restaurants, cafes and shopping. Despite the occasional noise from the bustling area, the ease of walking to popular spots and nearby amenities adds to the overall appeal.
The accommodations at Metropol Apartments & Suites are lauded for their stylish, functional decor and meticulous cleanliness. Spacious and well-equipped kitchens, bright bathrooms with modern fixtures and sound-proof windows contribute to a comfortable stay. Guests especially appreciate thoughtful touches like complimentary coffee, tea, water and fruit upon arrival. While the rooms are generally clean, a few minor cleanliness issues have been reported but do not significantly detract from the high standards maintained overall.
Even though the property does not provide breakfast on-site, numerous dining options are within a short walk and amenities such as coffee pads, cold water and fruit enhance the guest experience. The beds, including both standard and sofa beds, receive high marks for comfort, ensuring a restful night's sleep. There are some mentions of narrower beds and pull-out couch limitations for larger groups, but these are minor concerns in an otherwise positive feedback landscape.
The staff stands out for their friendliness, helpfulness and excellent communication, making the check-in and check-out processes smooth and efficient. While there are occasional mentions of inconsistent staff presence, the general consensus affirms a welcoming and responsive team dedicated to enhancing guests' stays.
Wi-Fi performance is another mixed aspect with many guests enjoying reliable connectivity and good internet service, including entertainment options like Netflix. However, some have experienced issues with weak signals and initial connectivity problems.
Parking is manageable but requires some planning. Though the property does not have private parking, nearby public garages and budget-friendly options at the youth hostel provide practical solutions despite additional costs and occasional availability challenges.
In summary, Metropol Apartments & Suites offers a compelling combination of a central location, modern and comfortable accommodations, commendable cleanliness and excellent staff service. While minor areas for improvement exist, the positive aspects significantly outweigh the negatives, making it a valuable choice for anyone visiting Tübingen.

Hotel Restaurant Meteora offers a balanced experience for those seeking budget accommodation in Tübingen. While the exterior and hallways might seem a bit unfinished, guests often point out the fair price-performance ratio, making it a worthwhile option for short stays. Situated conveniently near the city center, it provides easy access to local attractions. The hotel is described as having the essentials of a classic city hotel, though it could benefit from updates to its somewhat outdated amenities.
Several guests appreciate the affordability and recommend it for those who are looking for mid-range options. Though the cleanliness and maintenance have room for improvement, the hotel performs adequately for those on a budget. Breakfast services might lack attentiveness, and certain facilities like the bathrooms could use enhancements for comfort and safety. Overall, Hotel Restaurant Meteora serves as a satisfactory choice for travelers prioritizing cost over luxury or more specific three-star expectations.
