### General Review Summary for 'Days Inn by Wyndham Lakewood South Tacoma'
Days Inn by Wyndham Lakewood South Tacoma receives a blend of mixed reviews across various categories, but the overall sentiment leans towards a positive experience, particularly in specific areas.
The location of the hotel is one of its strong points, as many guests appreciate its convenient access to major highways and interstates, as well as key destinations like Pacific Lutheran University and the Tacoma Dome. Essential amenities like supermarkets and restaurants, some open 24/7, add to its practicality. However, the location in an industrial area and perceptions of a run-down environment somewhat affect its ambiance and sense of safety.
When it comes to the rooms, guests often found them spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, particularly those with kitchenettes. Positive notes included efforts to update rooms with new floors and modern furnishings. The beds, on the whole, were deemed comfortable, contributing to a restful stay for many. Conversely, issues like lingering cigarette odors, inconsistent cleanliness and maintenance problems indicate areas needing attention.
Cleanliness across the property yielded mixed reviews. While some guests found the rooms and facilities clean and pleasant, others encountered significant issues such as dirty sheets, moldy bathrooms and unpleasant odors. The housekeeping service, when effective, was mentioned positively.
Staff interactions were generally favorable with many guests praising the friendly, helpful demeanor of the employees. Special commendations were given to individuals like Debbie and Jasmine for their exceptional customer service. However, a few guests reported unsatisfactory experiences with some staff members being rude or unhelpful.
Parking at the hotel is generally appreciated for its availability and spaciousness, along with well-lit areas that contribute to a feeling of security. Nevertheless, concerns arise from unsettling activities observed in the parking lot, impacting some guests' sense of safety.
The hotel’s pet-friendly policy is a noteworthy plus for those traveling with dogs, aided by the accommodating nature of the staff allowing flexibility on check-in times. Nonetheless, the pet fee and lack of designated areas for dog walking were highlighted as drawbacks.
Breakfast offerings, unfortunately, fall short of expectations, frequently described as minimalistic and lacking variety and freshness. The breakfast area also faced issues of disarray and inadequate preparation, leaving many guests disappointed.
In conclusion, Days Inn by Wyndham Lakewood South Tacoma caters well to guests needing convenience and accessibility with comfortable accommodations and generally positive staff interactions. However, several areas, including cleanliness, breakfast quality and some aspects of safety and security, require improvement to enhance the overall guest experience.
