Hotel Residence Le Terrazze offers a delightful stay primarily characterized by its prime seaside location, tranquil ambiance and exceptional views of the sea and Gulf of Portovenere. Guests enjoy the convenience of a nearby beach and the scenic promenade that connects the hotel to the town's attractions and restaurants within a 10-20 minute walk. Onsite parking, though at an extra cost, adds to the ease of exploring local landmarks, including the Cinque Terre.
The breakfast receives mixed reviews, though it is noted for its variety and hearty options. Certain items like the spinach pie and cakes are particularly appreciated. However, some guests feel that the breakfast could benefit from a broader selection and higher quality, particularly in the area of savory offerings and drink options.
Dinner experiences are also varied. The onsite restaurant is appreciated when open, but its occasional evening closure and the limited dining options in the immediate area necessitate a bit of a walk to find other eateries. Special occasions at nearby restaurants, however, often yield memorable dining experiences.
Rooms are a highlight, commended for their spaciousness, cleanliness and stunning views. Many have terraces or balconies that enhance the stay with beautiful vistas of the bay. While some reviews note the décor as slightly outdated, the overall comfort and modern amenities in the rooms, including well-equipped kitchens, contribute to a pleasant experience. The pool area is another attractive feature, though additional costs for loungers and an early closing time are minor points of contention.
The beachfront location adds significantly to the hotel's appeal, offering immediate access to both public and private beach areas. Guests enjoy lounging on the small terrace with sun loungers and exploring other nearby beaches.
Parking is convenient and secure, albeit some guests find the daily fee high. The availability of spots near rooms or directly in front of the property is a plus, particularly given the quiet, low-traffic area surrounding the hotel.
Cleanliness is a consistent strong point with rooms and common areas kept in spotless, well-maintained condition. The commitment to hygiene is further complemented by the friendly and attentive staff, who are frequently praised for their exceptional service and hospitality, making guests feel welcomed and well-cared-for throughout their stay.
While some guests report discomfort with the beds due to hard or worn-out mattresses, the overall positive experience, enhanced by cleanliness and the warmth of the reception staff, generally overshadows this issue.
In summary, Hotel Residence Le Terrazze stands out as a clean, comfortable seaside retreat with excellent service, making it a highly recommended option for travelers seeking tranquility, beautiful views and a welcoming atmosphere.
