Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel Best Semiramis in Puerto de la Cruz is celebrated for its stunning location and remarkable sea views. Perched on a cliff, the hotel offers breathtaking ocean vistas from nearly every room and is within walking distance of a black sand beach and Puerto de la Cruz's lively city center. This serene and picturesque setting provides easy access to shops, bars and restaurants while ensuring a quiet atmosphere away from crowded tourist spots.
Guests commend the extensive breakfast buffet, which offers a variety of sweet and savory options and the quality of the food is often highlighted. Dining is further enhanced by themed dinner buffets featuring live cooking stations and a wide selection of dishes, including seafood and international cuisine. Although some found the dinner options did not always meet five-star expectations, the overall dining experience is deemed satisfactory with good value for money.
The rooms are frequently praised for their spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort. Most guests enjoy large, comfortable beds and modern amenities with the sea views from balconies being a standout feature. Despite some comments on the need for renovation, the rooms are generally clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel is highly regarded with daily housekeeping ensuring all areas remain pristine. The attentive cleaning staff and adherence to Covid-19 protocols add to guests' overall positive experience.
The staff at Hotel Best Semiramis receive glowing reviews for their friendliness, professionalism and helpfulness. Guests consistently appreciate the attentive and polite service provided across various hotel areas, contributing significantly to the positive guest experience.
However, the hotel faces challenges with its WiFi, as many guests report weak or nonexistent connections, especially in the rooms. The spa also receives mixed reviews with some appreciating the relaxing atmosphere and excellent massages, while others note issues with outdated equipment and cleanliness. The gym is viewed as adequate for a basic workout, though it could benefit from better maintenance and equipment.
The pool facilities, including a heated pool and jacuzzi, are generally praised for their cleanliness and inviting atmosphere. Despite occasional overcrowding and early closing times, the variety and pleasant setting of the pools are well-received by guests.
Overall, Hotel Best Semiramis offers a positive and memorable stay with its spectacular location, excellent breakfast, comfortable rooms and commendable staff standing out as highlights.
