A. Renewable hydroelectric electricity from the mountain lakes in Geiranger and Tafjord is 80% of our energy use.
B. 80% of our heating is supplied by an air to air heat converter which gives us 6Kw of heat per 1Kw of electricity.
20% of our heating is from modern thermostat steered electric panel ovens and 300ltr water boilers which all get their Power from renewable hydro-electric Sources
270mm of insulation in the attic, double glazing in all Windows, and 150-200mm of insulation in the outer walls have reduced Our Power consumption to a minimum.
We drive a RAV 4 hybrid and Our Shuttle service from downtown Geiranger is therefore recirculated energy and 50% fossil fuel.
C. The waterfalls from Grindalen valley are our source of clean drinking water.
No electricity is used to pump it and we drink it from the tap.
