Sonnenhotel Hoher Hahn appears to struggle with maintaining the standards one might expect from a 4-star hotel. Guests have commented that the property is in urgent need of renovation and have found some areas to be dirty at times. The rooms reportedly do not deliver the comfort associated with a 4-star rating. Many reviews suggest the hotel's overall facilities are lacking and do not justify the star rating. The breakfast offerings have also been described as dull with an over-reliance on ready-made products, which further detracts from the 4-star experience. Additionally, service staff at breakfast have been noted to be rather reserved and seemingly preoccupied, adding to the general sentiment that the hotel falls short of expectations for a premium stay.
