Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Ontario Airport Hotel & Conference Center enjoys a prime location appreciated by guests for its convenience. Close to major attractions like the Ontario Mills Mall, Toyota Arena and just minutes from the airport, the hotel is ideal for both leisure and business travelers. The ease of access to freeways and local transit, combined with an efficient airport shuttle, enhances the travel experience. Despite its proximity to the airport, the hotel remains peaceful and quiet.
In terms of breakfast, the hotel offers a buffet that some guests enjoy, complimenting the staff, particularly Betty, for their kindness. However, the breakfast is not complimentary and some find it overpriced without delivering sufficient value. A variety of breakfast options or the availability of a buffet could be inconsistent, leading to mixed reviews.
Dinner options at the hotel include an on-site bar and a small restaurant, appreciated for their convenience and friendly service. The staff in food and beverage service receive high praise for their hospitality. However, limited restaurant hours and occasional issues with food quality, such as overcooked items, were noted by guests.
Rooms at the hotel are generally large, clean and comfortable with modern decor and a quiet atmosphere. Guests appreciate the spaciousness and cleanliness, though some mention the absence of basic amenities like refrigerators or microwaves. A few guests also noted outdated features such as old-smelling carpets and noisy air conditioning units. The staff is accommodating, often upgrading rooms when necessary.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel, including rooms and common areas, is frequently praised. However, there are occasional reports of lapses in housekeeping, such as insufficiently cleaned bathrooms and an old smell in certain rooms. Despite these issues, the overall clean appearance and sanitized atmosphere are often highlighted by guests.
The staff consistently garners high praise for their professionalism, helpfulness and friendliness. The front desk and housekeeping teams are particularly noted for their superb service, contributing significantly to positive guest experiences.
The pool area receives mixed reviews. Many guests appreciate the well-sized pool and pleasant temperature, along with convenient amenities like poolside towels. However, some note issues with cleanliness and maintenance, such as algae in the pool and insufficient towels.
Parking is another strong point for the hotel, offering free and ample spaces that are well-lit, providing a sense of security. Some guests mention closures of sections of the lot and areas that appear dirty or overgrown, but overall, the parking experience is considered convenient and secure.
Lastly, the comfort of the beds varies among guests. Many find the beds cozy and conducive to restful sleep, while others report issues with lumpy mattresses, visible springs and some instances of bed bugs. The size of the beds is also a point of contention for some guests.
In summary, the Ontario Airport Hotel & Conference Center is favored for its convenient location, spacious rooms and excellent staff. While breakfast and dinner options and pool maintenance have areas for improvement, the overall experience is positive with a particular emphasis on good service and comfortable accommodations.
