Located conveniently between 10th and 11th Avenue, the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park offers solid accommodation in Manhattan with a central location just a 10-minute walk to the nearest subway station. Expectations should be set to a three-star level, as reflected in the room and service quality. Rooms are on the smaller side and there have been noted lagging efforts from the cleaning staff.
Breakfast is a point of contention, being described as cold and predominantly quantitative over qualitative and only served until 9 AM. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel remains a practical choice for some, particularly considering the relatively reasonable post-pandemic prices.
Common facilities have some recurring issues, such as slow elevators and frequent accessibility complaints. Room amenities also show inconsistencies with incidents like non-working USB sockets and room keys frequently requiring code resets at the front desk. There have also been complaints about poor maintenance throughout the property, including issues like alarms sounding for an extended period in the foyer.
While there is a definitive need for improvement in certain areas, the hotel's selling point remains its location and reasonable pricing. Nonetheless, potential guests should temper their expectations with respect to the overall quality of facilities and services, fitting for a three-star experience.

Summarized by AI
Night Hotel Broadway presents itself as a basic three-star hotel that offers a mix of advantages and drawbacks, providing an overall satisfactory stay for budget-conscious travelers. The facility is notably outdated with some guests pointing out that it does not quite meet the expectations for a modern three-star establishment. However, for those seeking a cost-effective option in an excellent and safe location, this hotel fits the bill. It is particularly commended for its close proximity to a subway, providing easy access to the rest of the city.
Guests consistently praised the friendly and exceptional staff services, which significantly contributed to their positive experiences. Housekeeping received favorable mentions and specific accessibility features were appreciated by those in need. On the downside, the hotel’s amenities and room conditions—a small kitchenette, stained carpets and old televisions—did not surpass the basic services expected in a three-star hotel. The rooms were noted to be quite small and some furnishings, such as blankets and wardrobes, were missing or minimal.
Though the hotel lacks high-end luxury, it offers reasonable value for money with average but satisfactory accommodations, especially for last-minute stays. Affordable pricing, ample parking, luggage storage and comfortable beds were some of the highlights. Overall, the hotel meets the minimum three-star standard, mainly driven by its strategic location and friendly service, making it a practical choice for budget travelers.

Hudson Yards Hotel presents itself as an economical option for travelers seeking accommodation in New York City, where budget-friendly choices are often scarce. Although some guests appreciated the cleaning staff and the modern look of the rooms, the hotel faces several challenges that affect the overall experience. Key issues include inconsistent hot water and heating, exacerbated by noisy air conditioning. The hotel is rated by some as falling short of its advertised three-star status, with potential for significant improvement in service quality, especially in customer care. While it provides a reasonable price-performance ratio for its location, many guests express a preference for exploring alternate accommodations in the future due to dissatisfaction with their stay.

HI New York City Hostel is noted for offering an excellent cost-benefit ratio, making it a commendable choice for travelers looking for value for money in New York City. Guests have highlighted the comfortable beds and the overall cleanliness of the hostel, describing it as very clean and pleasant. The common areas are well-regarded and its prime location assures safety and easy access to city attractions with convenient dining options like nearby pizza and take-out restaurants.
While the hostel provides basic amenities and satisfactory accommodation for the price, there are areas needing improvement. Notably, the air conditioning in the rooms can be loud and the closets lack locks, which are available for an extra charge. There are additional fees for luggage storage and paid membership, which some guests have found surprising and not amusing. The Wi-Fi has been reported as very slow and there are instances where the linens were not changed and some staff were less responsive. Additionally, the price, though good overall, is considered slightly expensive for a hostel and NYC in general.
Despite these drawbacks, the hostel remains a comfortable and consistent option. It is deemed decent for its prime location and facilities. Recommendations from guests are frequent and it is generally considered a good, reasonably priced choice for short stays in New York. However, some minor adjustments in terms of service and amenities could enhance the overall experience.

This three-star hotel finds itself nestled in a prime location, providing easy access to Central Park and nearby museums. The setting on a quiet, tree-lined street imbues it with a serene, European vibe, which is one of the highlights appreciated by guests. The hotel consistently stands out for its friendly and hard-working staff who strive to maintain comfort despite the property's noted wear.
While the building itself may require a significant refresh, including new paint and doors, guests consider the hotel a good value for money given its location. The rooms, though small and a bit dated, provide basic comfort and cleanliness. The soundproofing could be better, contributing to occasional disturbances, especially from the air conditioning. Nonetheless, the beds are deemed comfortable enough for a night's sleep after exploring the bustling city.
Breakfast is average but reasonable, and the bathroom facilities are well-equipped, although some reviewers suggest renovations would greatly enhance the overall experience. The price-quality ratio is seen as favorable, particularly when booked in advance, making it an affordable option among New York City hotels.

West Side YMCA offers a budget-friendly and well-located stay in the heart of New York City, making it a value deal for travelers seeking inexpensive accommodation. The facilities are basic and may not be very modern, but they meet the expectations for the price paid. Guests appreciate the safe and affordable rates, especially given the typically high costs in the city.
