Hotel Hron is renowned for its excellent location, combining serene, scenic views and convenient proximity to Náchod's city center. Guests appreciate being close to attractions like the Primator Brewery and find easy access to train and bus stations. The surroundings are ideal for leisurely walks, providing a balance of calmness and accessibility.
The breakfast offerings at Hotel Hron receive high praise from many visitors who enjoy the rich and diverse selection. Terms such as "delicious" and "excellent" frequently appear in reviews and guests particularly favor the pastries and well-prepared hot options. The breakfast setting adds to the pleasant dining experience, although occasional criticisms highlight issues like limited selection for latecomers and occasional stale items.
When operational, the hotel's restaurant is celebrated for its delicious Czech cuisine, but frequent closures and the lack of dining conveniences have left some guests disappointed. The restaurant's downtime often contributes to an impression of a neglected establishment.
Hotel Hron's rooms are described as spacious, clean and suitable for families or groups with many offering picturesque views of the local castle. Bathrooms are similarly large with some featuring bathtubs. However, the decor feels outdated to some and there have been occasional maintenance and cleanliness issues reported. The absence of certain amenities, like refrigerators and tea/coffee-making facilities, also detracts from the overall experience.
Cleanliness at Hotel Hron elicited mixed reactions. While many guests praised the tidy rooms and common areas, others encountered problems such as dirty carpets, dusty furniture and unmaintained bathrooms. These issues suggest that consistent cleaning practices could improve the overall guest experience.
The staff at Hotel Hron are frequently commended for their friendliness and helpfulness, playing a significant role in creating a welcoming atmosphere. While language barriers and limited staff availability sometimes posed challenges, the friendly and attentive service left a positive impression on many guests.
The beds at Hotel Hron garnered mixed reviews—some guests found them comfortable and conducive to good sleep, while others experienced discomfort due to firmness or issues with bed linens. The disparity in reviews indicates variability in guest experiences regarding bedding comfort.
In terms of the hotel’s four-star rating, many guests feel that Hotel Hron falls short of the expected four-star standards. While it offers a neat and pleasant environment, it lacks the luxury typically associated with such a rating with some comparing it more to a budget hostel.
Overall, Hotel Hron is favored for its convenient location, spacious rooms and friendly staff. However, there are areas for improvement in cleanliness, amenities and consistency in dining options to better match the expectations of a four-star hotel.

Hotel Tommy Wellness & Spa receives high praise from guests, particularly for its peaceful and picturesque location, superb breakfast offerings and the exceptional friendliness and professionalism of its staff. Nestled in a tranquil part of Náchod, the hotel offers an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions with convenient access to hiking and biking trails. Guests appreciate the serene ambiance, beautiful countryside views and the hotel's accessibility, despite its slightly remote setting.
The breakfast at Hotel Tommy Wellness & Spa is often heralded as exceptional with a wide and varied selection that caters to all tastes. Diners enjoy continuous refills and generous portions in a pleasant dining ambiance, along with friendly and helpful staff, making breakfast a highly recommended feature.
However, the dinner experience at the hotel is more mixed. While the quality of the food is often praised, the lack of a fully functional restaurant and limited dining options, such as a small menu at the lobby bar or a pre-ordered buffet, reduce the overall dining satisfaction. Guests find the buffet dinner sometimes lacking in variety and temperature control and some deem the surcharge high. Many guests, therefore, recommend dining outside the hotel in nearby areas like Poland for better, more affordable options.
Rooms at the hotel are described as charming, clean and well-decorated, though some guests note they are quite small, especially those with sloped ceilings or near the kitchen, which can sometimes bring unpleasant smells. Despite these minor issues, the cleanliness and attractive, castle-style decor frequently leave a positive impression. Pet-friendly facilities and a lovely garden add to the hotel’s charm.
The hotel’s impeccable cleanliness is consistently highlighted with both private and common areas maintained to a high standard. The staff’s friendliness and professionalism significantly enhance the guest experience, praised for their welcoming and helpful nature.
The wellness facilities, including a luxurious spa, pool and sauna, receive positive feedback for their quality and exclusivity. The ability to reserve the pool and whirlpool for private use is particularly appreciated, though some guests feel that additional charges for these facilities should be lower or included in the room rate.
Parking facilities at the hotel are highly rated with a spacious, secure parking lot conveniently located near the hotel. Although reviews on the comfort of the beds are mixed with some finding them too firm, the overall sentiment remains positive regarding the cleanliness and general comfort of the bedding.
In summary, Hotel Tommy Wellness & Spa is celebrated for its serene location, top-quality breakfast, immaculate cleanliness and excellent staff, making it a delightful choice for guests seeking a peaceful and relaxing retreat.
