Year erected:bef. 1830
What is the history of the property? The watermill is really old. It was also a fording before the bridge was erected few hundred meter from here. It has been a farm too, for decades.
What was the era and/or the architectural style in which the property was built? This is a typical Sologne's farm with small tiles roof and half-timbered walls. The extensions are made 100% of wood.
Is the property surrounded by other historic buildings? We are less than 10 km from the biggest "Château de la Loire" : Chambord
Are there any elements of particular historical importance at the building? The millrace is often dry but all the water equipment is still there (except the wheel).
Are there any important guests or previous owners worth mentioning? During three decades (70s, 80s and 90s) it was a recording studio of a French pop star, Michel Sardou.

Is there anything that you would like to highlight, add or clarify? From all this past, what remains most is an atmosphere of absolute quiet.
