Location
Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire is a delightful hotel nestled in beautiful, countryside surroundings with a rich history. The building itself has a charming, old-world feel and the grounds are simply lovely. It's conveniently located near the M6 offering an easy drive for those visiting the area. The spacious rooms and plentiful parking make it an excellent choice for travelers. While there were a few minor issues, such as a lack of seating for pre-drinks and long, winding corridors, the hotel's fantastic location more than makes up for it. Guests who appreciate a grand entrance won't be disappointed with the stunning driveway leading up to the hotel, which adds to the wow factor. For those arriving by train, the hotel is only a few minutes' taxi ride from Crewe railway station making it easily accessible. All in all, we loved the location and couldn't ask for anything more.

Breakfast
Guests have mixed feelings about the breakfast at Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire. Some found it plentiful and delicious with plenty of choice, whereas others found it underwhelming and poor. The breakfast buffet offered a top-notch selection, but there were some limitations such as the limited choice of fruit, dirty cups and absence of side plates. Most guests found the service to be self-service, but some were disappointed that there was no pot of tea brought to their table. Some guests found that the breakfast was disorganised, slow to come out or a total shambles. A few guests also noted that the breakfast was quite expensive with confusion about the paid breakfast. However, the Sunday breakfast was worth the visit for some. Overall, the breakfast experience at Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire was not uniform and it depended on individual expectations, preferences and experiences.

Dinner
The dinner at Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire has received mixed reviews from guests. Some found the food to be disappointing, overpriced and limited in options. Some even had to supplement their appetite from fast food chains nearby. The brasserie had an excellent but expensive menu, while the restaurant attached to the hotel was below standard. A few guests had a good experience with the food in the restaurant but thought the service was subpar. One guest even encountered a situation where there was no available table to dine on arriving after a long drive. Some found that the bar's offering was also subpar and waiting for drinks took some time. However, a few guests found the food to be delicious, though the portions were small. The breakfast experience was mixed with some guests enjoying it while some finding it disappointing. Some guests also reported menu items not being available during their visit. Overall, food quality and service at the hotel restaurant left something to be desired.

Rooms
Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire is an historic building with beautiful features, but some areas of the hotel are outdated and in need of refurbishment. While some guests reported tired-looking rooms with peeling wallpaper, stains on carpets and chipped furniture, others found their rooms to be spacious, clean and comfortable. The new wing is generally quieter and nicer than the older section, but some reviews noted issues such as mould in the bathroom and unreliable showers. Despite these shortcomings, there were positive comments about the well-appointed rooms, comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. However, some guests also reported issues with cleanliness and maintenance, including uncleaned surfaces and malfunctioning lights. Overall, the hotel provides a mixed experience with some lovely rooms and some areas that fall short of expectations.

Beds
If you're in search of a restful night's sleep, Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire won't disappoint. Many guests raved about the comfortable beds with some even describing them as huge and beautiful. You can look forward to sinking into the decent quality bedding, taking a relaxing bath or shower with hot water and drifting off in the comfortable beds. However, there were a few negative reviews citing uncomfortable beds, or disappointment when receiving a smaller bed than expected. Overall, though, the majority of guests were pleased with the comfy beds and spacious rooms in the beautiful old hall.

Cleanliness
The cleanliness of Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire has been a mixed bag according to guest reviews. Some have reported their well-appointed rooms being spacious and clean, while others have found their rooms unclean with dirty cups and glasses left behind. There were reports of undercooked eggs being served during breakfast and the minimal breakfast menu was disappointing. The property was mostly clean, but several guests noted that some areas needed maintenance and the overall decor was dated with some feeling that the hotel was unloved. Some guests praised the hotel for being spotless, while others found the cleanliness lacking with mentions of dirty tables in the dining room and litter in the west wing corridor. Despite these mixed reviews, some guests found their rooms to be beautiful with comfortable beds and the clean accommodation and comfy beds were also highlighted.

Staff
Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire boasts great staff that are well-trained and engaged in conversation. The reception staff provides extra helpful service, while the staff around the hotel and pool are friendly and eager to help. Guests praise the staff for their attentiveness and fabulous service, although some have noted that the staff in the restaurants need further training. In general, the hotel staff is exceptionally polite and lovely with some stand-out employees like Emily Walters and Sophie, the Brasserie waitress. However, there are some instances where the staff seemed new or inexperienced, leaving guests waiting for ages or providing disjointed check-ins. Some guests have also encountered issues with unhelpful staff, like those in the restaurant or the duty manager. Overall, guests appreciate the lovely and helpful staff, plus the exceptional food and spa facilities at the hotel.

Spa
The Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire offers a great spot for a weekend spa break, loved by many guests. The swimming pool and gym are brilliant and the spa is a nice touch. However, some guests found the pool cold and the whirlpool small. There are some mixed reviews about the facilities, but many loved the pool, gym and spa with some wanting to return next time to hopefully use the spa. Unfortunately, the spa was closed on New Year's Day. The spa showers, whirlpool, sauna and steam room provide a soothing experience for guests. Some found the spa poor, but others think it's top-class with great facilities. Overall, the spa area and pool provide a lovely atmosphere for relaxation, although some parts are a little run down. The treatments were great and the spa was a bonus to many guests' stay. There were some issues with noisy children using the swimming pool and limited poolside beds. However, the pool was first-rate for swimming lengths, much better than the tiny or oddly-shaped pools usually found in hotel spas. The surroundings of the spa also were excellent for relaxation. Though some expected to have robes and flipflops in each room for free use, the spa area was tired.

Pool
The pool and spa facilities at Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire received mixed reviews from guests. While some found the swimming pool and gym to be brilliant and a great size, others felt that the pool was a little cold or poorly functioning. The whirlpool, sauna and steam room were also reported as being small and not able to accommodate a high number of guests. Despite this, many guests still loved the spa and made use of the facilities. However, it's important to note that children are allowed to use the pool during designated times, which may make it noisy for those seeking relaxation. Lastly, some guests also reported that there weren't enough beds near the pool, so it was difficult to relax and enjoy the experience fully.

4 Star
Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire offers a range of facilities and services that satisfy the needs of every guest. While some guests have found their stay to be exceptional, others have set their expectations to average. The hotel's four star rating has been a topic of discussion among its guests with some finding it to be excellent and others disagreeing. However, most guests agree that the hotel offers brilliant value for its price with luxury amenities that are reasonably priced. While there were some who felt that the small touches didn't justify the cost, most guests found it to be a nice stay and good value for money. Overall, Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire offers a great hotel experience at an affordable price.

Dog Friendly
If you're planning a trip to Crewe with your furry friend, Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire is an excellent choice for accommodation. The lovely rooms are dog-friendly and pets are welcome throughout the hotel. You'll find the staff to be very accommodating and friendly towards your four-legged companions. The dog walking facilities are excellent and your pooch will love exploring the surrounding areas. However, be aware that there is no grass close by for toileting at night, so plan accordingly. Although there were no dog bowls provided despite paying for the pets, the hotel's website has more information about where you can and can't take your dog, which can be helpful. One downside though is that the reception did not provide adequate information on where the rooms and facilities were, so be sure to clarify it beforehand. While the west wing is designated for guests with dogs, it can also feel like a bit of a confinement. Nonetheless, you'll still be able to enjoy the beauty of Crewe Hall and have a memorable stay with your furry best friend.
