What is the history of the property?
Extract from the "Guide du Taravu" of the historian Lucette Poncin: "Located in the small hamlet of "Prugna" this "fortified house" (Casa forta) dating from the Middle Ages (1579) was originally built as an observation post and refuge. It is a testimony of this period. Built on a rocky promontory, it offers beautiful evidences of this period: machicolation, sundial, millstone. It is one of the oldest in the region.

Granite house of the middle age edited by Italian engineers.
The origins of this fortified house can be found in the Vatican Archives where it is engraved IHS on the Stone

These fortified houses are at the origin of the creation of the village of Grosseto because many craftsmen had to make their home there to be able to build these houses.
