Albergue Constantino AL garners high praise particularly for its strategic and peaceful location along the Camino de Santiago, offering a serene refuge for weary travelers. The hostel is situated a bit away from the nearest town, but this is offset by the host's exceptional hospitality, including providing complimentary transport to nearby restaurants. Guests appreciate the quiet, atmospheric setting where they can relax in the garden and enjoy the natural surroundings.
The hostel’s rooms consistently receive commendations for their cleanliness, spaciousness and amenities like comfortable beds, heating equipment and balconies with beautiful views. Large, spotless bathrooms enhance the overall experience with modern fixtures and scenic views over the valley adding a special touch. Though some critiques mention sparse decoration and occasional issues with shower water temperature, these minor drawbacks are overshadowed by the positive attributes.
While breakfast experiences vary with some guests noting disappointment over availability, the presence of a well-equipped kitchen and the option to have breakfast at a nearby restaurant helps mitigate this issue. Additionally, guests rave about the exceptional dining experience facilitated by the owners, who drive them to a family-owned restaurant offering delicious and economical meals. This personal touch, combined with large portions and excellent service, greatly enhances the stay.
Exceptional cleanliness is a consistent highlight at Albergue Constantino AL with guests frequently praising the neat, spacious rooms and common areas. The staff, particularly the hosts, are highly commended for their friendliness, helpfulness and willingness to go the extra mile, contributing to a very pleasant experience.
However, there are mixed reviews regarding the beds. While some guests found the beds to be comfortable, others pointed out issues with short length and uncomfortable mattresses, indicating a need for updates in this area to improve guest comfort.
Overall, Albergue Constantino AL is valued for its peaceful location, exceptional hospitality, cleanliness and overall comfort, making it a favored stop for those on the Camino de Santiago.
