Summary of reviews

Summarized by AI

Quality Inn & Suites offers a commendable location that is easily accessible and conveniently positioned off the highway, providing ample parking and close proximity to a variety of shops, restaurants and attractions. The hotel's location near downtown and major event venues like the Brown stadium is especially appreciated by travelers, making it a practical choice for both work and leisure stays. However, some guests have raised concerns about the safety and aesthetics of the surrounding area. The breakfast experience at Quality Inn & Suites is met with mixed reactions. Many guests enjoyed certain items such as the waffles, while others found the selection limited and the quality lacking. Reports of broken drink machines, food shortages and instances where breakfast was unexpectedly unavailable suggest room for improvement in this area. Guest feedback on the rooms has been variable. Positive comments noted the cleanliness, comfort and pleasant atmosphere of some rooms, highlighting the nice beds as a strong point. Unfortunately, there were also numerous reports of significant cleanliness and maintenance issues, including odors of smoke and mold, dirty and stained furnishings and poorly maintained facilities such as leaky air conditioners and unsecured toilets. These concerns underscore a need for substantial improvements in both room upkeep and general hygiene. Cleanliness reviews for Quality Inn & Suites highlight a troubling inconsistency. While some areas like the lobby were noted to be clean, multiple issues such as mold, lingering odors and dirty fixtures were raised by many guests, affecting their overall experience negatively. Additionally, personal items left behind from previous guests contributed to a perception of neglect. Staff interactions received mixed comments from guests. Many praised the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk personnel, which enhanced the check-in experience. However, some guests experienced rudeness and unprofessional behavior from certain staff members, pointing to an inconsistency that needs to be addressed to ensure uniform guest satisfaction. The beds at Quality Inn & Suites were often described as comfortable, contributing positively to many guests' stays. Despite this, concerns about cleanliness and maintenance were noted, including stained bedding and reports of bed bugs, requiring attention to ensure a consistently comfortable and clean sleeping environment. In summary, while Quality Inn & Suites benefits from a prime location and has some positive attributes like comfortable beds and friendly service, significant improvements in cleanliness, maintenance and breakfast offerings are necessary to enhance the overall guest experience.

Positioned conveniently off the highway, the hotel is centrally located to various destinations and essential points of interest. The surrounding area offers a variety of activities with shops, restaurants and attractions within walking distance. It is particularly close to downtown, approximately seven miles away and only 15 minutes from the Brown stadium, making it ideal for attending events. Despite the convenience and numerous nearby amenities, some guests have noted concerns about the safety and aesthetics of the surrounding area, describing it as sketchy or unsafe. However, for many, the location served their needs effectively, whether for work or leisure, underscoring the overall good accessibility and proximity to key areas.

Breakfast

Guests provided mixed reviews about the breakfast at Quality Inn & Suites. Many found the breakfast acceptable with some specifically highlighting that they enjoyed the waffles. However, other aspects of the breakfast experience seemed to fall short. There were mentions of limited options and some guests found the selection and quality to be quite basic or even poor. Issues such as broken drink machines and food running out before the end of the serving period were noted. Additionally, there were multiple instances where guests arrived expecting breakfast, informed either by the website or booking confirmation, only to find that it was not provided at all. While some guests felt that the breakfast was adequate for the price they paid, there was a consensus that there is significant room for improvement.

Rooms

The rooms at the Quality Inn & Suites received a mix of feedback from guests. On the positive side, several guests found their rooms to be nice, clean and with comfortable beds. However, numerous reviews highlighted significant issues related to cleanliness and maintenance. Complaints frequently mentioned rooms smelling like smoke, wet dog, urine, mold and mustiness. Guests also reported rooms that were not properly cleaned with dirty sheets, floors and areas with visible dirt and goo. Severe maintenance problems were noted, including bathrooms with caving ceilings, unfinished tubs, leaky air conditioners, stained shower curtains and toilets not secured to the floor. The overall room condition was described by many as awful and filthy with a few reviews mentioning the presence of bugs. Additionally, guests experienced poor communication and service from staff when issues were reported.

Beds

The beds at Quality Inn & Suites received mixed feedback from guests with many praising their comfort. Descriptions frequently highlight the beds as comfortable and even amazing, providing a good night’s sleep for several reviewers. However, there were notable concerns regarding cleanliness and maintenance. Issues such as small and uncomfortable beds, stained bedding and a few reports of bed bugs did arise. Some guests found typical spring beds adequate but mentioned thin bedding sheets and lingering stains. The comfort of the beds was generally positive, although these issues indicate a need for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.

Cleanliness

Quality Inn & Suites has received mixed feedback on cleanliness from recent guests. While some visitors mentioned that the place, especially the lobby, was clean, many others had less favorable experiences. Several reviews highlighted issues like wet-feeling carpets, slippery and sticky bathroom floors and a general damp, musty odor in the rooms. The presence of mold and the smell of mildew were frequently noted with numerous accounts of mold being found in showers and on the floors. Guests also reported that many fixtures were old and rusty, contributing to a less than appealing atmosphere. Dirty sheets, cigarette burns and the smell of cigarettes were mentioned, alongside personal items like a used bandage and a cat-haired shirt being found left behind. The condition of the furniture, especially couches, seemed aged and uninviting to some. The dining area was also referenced as needing better cleanliness and overall, many reviews expressed dissatisfaction with the upkeep of the rooms and common areas. Complaints about non-functional amenities, dirty bathrooms and a general sense of neglect were recurring themes, suggesting that the hotel's cleanliness requires immediate attention and improvement.

Staff

Quality Inn & Suites has received mixed feedback regarding its staff. Many guests commended the friendliness and helpfulness of the team, noting that front desk personnel were particularly nice and accommodating. Several reviewers appreciated the professionalism and efficiency during check-in, contributing to a positive initial experience. However, multiple reviews also highlighted instances of rudeness and unprofessional behavior from some staff members. This inconsistency in service, coupled with occasional complaints about room maintenance and responsiveness to requests, suggests that while many staff members strive to provide excellent customer service, there is room for improvement in ensuring consistent guest satisfaction.
