Millers House Boutique B&B received overwhelming positive reviews from guests who stayed there. The location is perfect and convenient, situated in a peaceful and secure area but still close to main roads making it easy to explore surrounding areas. Guests appreciate the quality of the breakfast, accommodating hosts who cater to specific dietary requirements and the luxurious bedding in the comfortable and well-appointed rooms. The Bear Hotel by Greene King Inns appears to be a solid choice for travelers seeking a three-star experience at a reasonable price. The hotel's pricing is often highlighted as great value for money, making it a reasonable option for budget-conscious guests. Though the decor is somewhat dated and in need of updates, the building itself holds a certain charm that some may find appealing. The three-star rating is justified, offering basic amenities and services that meet expectations for this category.
Despite its shortcomings, such as tired and tatty rooms that require deep cleaning, the hotel still provides what is anticipated in a three-star accommodation. It lacks luxuries like a lift and offers average facilities, but what it does offer is consistent with its rating.
Overall, the Bear Hotel delivers a pleasant, dog-friendly stay, featuring good, clean rooms and a very good breakfast. It's not the highest quality or most modern option out there, but for those in search of affordability and basic, reliable services, it stands as an excellent value for money.
