Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Charlottetown Inn & Conference Centre offers a centrally located base for exploring downtown Charlottetown, providing easy walking access to key attractions such as the marina, historic sites and various dining and entertainment options. Additionally, the hotel offers free and ample parking, enhancing its appeal for both tourists and event attendees.
The rooms at the Charlottetown Inn & Conference Centre are spacious and many feature comfortable beds with some including kitchens for added convenience. However, the decor is outdated and there are recurring issues with cleanliness and maintenance.
Guest experiences with breakfast are largely negative with many noting the minimalistic offerings and lack of variety. The breakfast room's location in the basement and limited hours add to the dissatisfaction, indicating significant room for improvement in this area.
Cleanliness overall at the hotel has mixed reviews. While some guests found their rooms to be adequately cleaned, there are numerous reports of dirty carpets, mold and unclean common areas. The pool area also received criticism for cleanliness issues, though when well-maintained, it is considered a nice facility, particularly for families.
The staff is frequently praised for their friendliness and efficiency, although inconsistency in service quality is noted. Some guests had excellent interactions, while others experienced slower service and less helpful staff.
WiFi service at the hotel is inconsistent with some guests finding it satisfactory for basic tasks, while others encountered frequent disconnections and slow speeds.
The hotel caters to families and pets, offering a welcoming atmosphere and facilities such as a pool and gym. The hotel's pet-friendly policy, despite an additional charge, makes it a good option for those traveling with dogs.
Overall, the Charlottetown Inn & Conference Centre offers reasonable value for its three-star rating, particularly for its central location and friendly staff. It is a practical choice for budget-conscious travelers, though there are areas, especially in terms of cleanliness, maintenance and breakfast offerings, that require improvement to enhance guest satisfaction.
