Historic HotelPrincipal Edinburgh George Street consists of five townhouses which were built in 1775 in order to become the residences of some of Edinburgh's most distinguished personalities. Since 1881, the townhouses were turned into a hotel, which, after changing owners and brands, became the luxurious historic hotel that it is today. Its deep history is evident throughout the building as well as through small details, while the hotel also tries to blend the traditional Scottish culture and heritage with modern amenities and state-of-the-art facilities that have earned it the title of one of the most lavish hotels in Edinburgh.
