The Cellars-Hohenort dates as far back as the 17th century, when it used to be a farm owned by the Dutch East India Company. After changing many owners, at the beginning of the 20th century the wine cellar was created and the building started taking a shape closer to that of today's, as it operated as a country guesthouse.
