Many visitors appreciate the deliciously prepared breakfast offerings, which often include freshly made crêpes, the best tasting eggs, fresh baguettes, and homemade jam. Guests particularly enjoy having breakfast by the river, providing a serene setting complemented by excellent coffee. However, some reviewers noted that the breakfast can be quite basic, with limited options such as fried eggs, rolls, and fruit. While some found it sufficient to start the day, others felt the breakfast lacked variety and was lighter compared to other hotels in Vietnam. Despite these critiques, the kitchen's culinary expertise is often praised, with several guests enjoying the tasty and well-prepared meals. Overall, while the breakfast could benefit from more diversity and abundance, the setting and quality still offer a pleasant start to the day at this charming homestay.

Nonetheless, the food is consistently described as amazing and fantastic, with the use of fresh local ingredients enhancing the overall flavor and appeal. The friendly staff further elevate the dining ambiance, ensuring guests feel welcomed and attended to. Some rooms have been reported to have a musty odor and suffer from humidity issues, potentially affecting the freshness of the atmosphere. In particular, some bathrooms could benefit from more thorough cleaning, with occasional mold reported on shower curtains and other fixtures. Additionally, aspects such as worn-out furnishings and run-down appearances in some areas suggest the homestay could benefit from some updates and professional management to unlock its full potential. While generally maintaining a high standard of hygiene, certain details, such as neglected corners or inadequate solutions for drying towels, can detract from the otherwise spotless reputation. Guests have expressed the desire for more consistent cleanliness to match the property's serene exterior charm. With its beautiful location and generally clean facilities, a little more attention to detail could make Song Ngư Riverside Homestay an even more fabulous retreat.
