Breakfast
De Rougemont Manor offers a breakfast that many guests thoroughly enjoyed. Some guests described the breakfast as delicious, lovely, superb and excellent. There was a good variation and prompt service and visitors were impressed with the choice of the continental and cooked breakfast. Plus, the quality of the food at both dinner and breakfast was highly appreciated.

However, there were a few negative comments regarding the breakfast. Some guests found the options slightly limited and baskets were found empty. On the other hand, other travelers were disappointed on the last day when they were told breakfast had ended at 9:30 am but were told breakfast would last from 7-10 am. Drinks were considered expensive and toast was offered instead of cooked breakfast. Some guests preferred breakfast could have been served a bit later and some guests thought the food is not cooked fresh, kept warm, or clearly something they had laying around.

Overall, the breakfast at De Rougemont Manor received some very high praises from the guests with most having a good experience. The hotel provides a good selection of both English and continental dishes with prompt service and lovely food quality depending on the guest's likes and dislikes.

Dinner
When it comes to dining at De Rougemont Manor, there are mixed reviews from previous guests. While some have had unpleasant experiences, others have enjoyed their meals. Breakfast receives more consistent praise than dinner with many guests noting the good quality of the morning meal. Unfortunately, some guests have reported poor quality, cold or overcooked food and even gristle in their steak. Some have also complained about the prices of the dishes. However, a small number of guests have enjoyed their meals, describing their dinner as nice and their breakfast as good. Overall, it seems that the hotel needs to improve its dining experience by addressing the issues mentioned by some of its guests.

Rooms
De Rougemont Manor is a beautiful building with spacious and clean rooms that offer lovely views of the grounds. The beds are comfortable and some rooms are well presented with tea and coffee making facilities. However, some guests have reported that the rooms are small, outdated and tired with poor cleanliness standards. Some rooms have low ceilings, two single beds pushed together and bathrooms that are a tight squeeze. Others have faced issues such as broken radiators, noisy surroundings and false advertising regarding bed sizes. Despite some areas being dated, the accommodation is generally clean and tidy with comfortable beds and staff that are polite and helpful. It is important to note that there is a clear pressure on hotel costs and expenses, leading to some guests experiencing cold rooms and low heating. So, while the hotel has its flaws, it offers a quiet location, spacious areas and clean rooms that meet some guests' needs.

Beds
De Rougemont Manor offers a variety of bed options that may be hit-or-miss for some guests. For those who prioritize a good night's sleep, there are plenty of positive reviews about the comfortable beds with the right level of firmness. One guest even described the bed as "HUGE!" and a highlight of their stay. However, some guests found the mattresses to be too hard or lumpy and there were negative comments about uncomfortable pillows. Some guests were disappointed in the quality of bedding and reported dirty or stained sheets and throws. While some rooms feature luxurious four-poster beds, others were disappointed in the false advertising of an extra-large bed that turned out to be two pushed-together singles. Overall, it seems that guests who prioritize a comfortable bed will find joy here, but those who are pickier may want to inquire about bedding options before booking.

Cleanliness
De Rougemont Manor is a lovely hotel that has garnered praise for its cleanliness from most guests. The rooms were reported to be well presented, clean and tidy with the majority of guests being pleased with their comfortable stay. Guests appreciated the modern and clean bathroom facilities. Additionally, the staff was mentioned as being pleasant and accommodating which enhanced the overall experience. However, some guests encountered some minor cleanliness issues such as outdated furnishings, carpets that needed a thorough cleaning, cobwebs and dust in various areas. A few specific complaints included hairs in the shower cubicle, dirty toilets, peeling mastic, dirty carpets and stained bedding. Nonetheless, in general, guests were satisfied with the cleanliness standards of De Rougemont Manor.

Pool
De Rougemont Manor offers guests a variety of amenities, including a pool, gym and table tennis. While some guests were disappointed that the pool was not heated as advertised, many others enjoyed the outdoor and heated pool. The outdoor pool was particularly popular with one guest describing it as fabulous. Families with children appreciated the good garden and lovely pool. While some guests noted issues with cleanliness, such as broken tiles and hair in the pool, others found the facilities to be lovely and clean. Despite mixed reviews on the food, the pool and outdoor facilities were still enjoyed by many guests, especially in the summer months.

Parking
If you're looking for a hotel with plenty of parking, De Rougemont Manor has got you covered. The large free car park is easy to find and has lots of parking spaces available. Despite being a little far from reception, guests appreciated the ample parking and easy access from the A127. While some guests mentioned the need for better signage, overall the hotel's curb appeal received praise from visitors. And for those with electric vehicles, while the charging point was not available at the time of some guests' stays, they are looking forward to being able to utilize it in the future. However, it's worth noting that there is no lift at the hotel, which some guests found inconvenient - but if you're looking for plenty of parking, De Rougemont Manor may be just the ticket.
