The resort's central location serves as a gateway to various recreational activities, including the Snow Dome Bispingen, Battle Kart and multiple adventure parks, all within walking distance. The surrounding area boasts fast food outlets, restaurants and even charging stations, enhancing the convenience factor for visitors. Moreover, the hotel serves as a fantastic base for exploring the Lüneburg Heath with its scenic landscapes perfect for biking and hiking. Proximity to notable attractions like Heide Park Soltau and several bathing lakes further adds to its appeal. Families particularly appreciate the diverse activity options for children, from playgrounds to go-karting. The modern, clean rooms and super cozy log cabins enhance the overall stay experience. While some guests noted the practical, albeit not very scenic, location by the highway, most found it advantageous for short and convenient access to various destinations. Overall, Alpine Hotel offers a strategically advantageous location, combining easy highway access with a wealth of nearby activities, making it a favored stopover or short-stay choice for diverse groups, including families, adventurers and transitory travelers.

Breakfast

The breakfast at Alpine Hotel has garnered substantial praise from guests, highlighting a vast and varied buffet that caters to different tastes and dietary needs. Many reviews commend the breakfast as very good, delicious and extensive. The selection is described as generous with an abundant variety that includes fresh vegetables and even Bavarian-inspired options. Guests frequently highlight the quality and replenishment of the buffet, ensuring nothing important is missing. Although some reviews mention the breakfast as average or simple, the vast majority appreciate it for its diversity and delicious flavors. Instances of high satisfaction include exceptional pancakes, hearty food and a plentiful selection that rivals some four-star hotels. Guests comment on the friendly and responsive staff who ensure the buffet is continuously replenished. Despite the predominantly positive feedback, there are occasional concerns about specific aspects, such as the price being too high for what is offered or limited vegetarian options. Some guests felt the coffee quality needed improvement and there were mentions of certain items not being refilled promptly. Overall, the breakfast at Alpine Hotel is well-regarded for its extensive variety, quality and the accommodating service that enhances the morning experience for guests.

Dinner

When it comes to dining at Alpine Hotel, reviews present a mixed but generally favorable picture. Many guests highlight the delicious and hearty Bavarian cuisine available at the hotel's Hofbräuhaus restaurant, citing dishes like Hunter's schnitzel and golden brown meatloaf as particularly satisfying. The restaurant's beer garden also receives positive mentions, especially during good weather. Guests frequently praise the food quality with remarks such as "Delicious food," "Food was amazing," and "Skiing in the evening and enjoying delicious food," creating a strong impression of satisfying culinary experiences. The breakfast and meals at the nearby Snow Dome restaurant are also well-regarded, offering a tasty and convenient option for visitors. Despite the overall positive feedback, some reviews indicate that the culinary offerings can be hit or miss. Issues such as food leaning towards a fast-food style, expensive pricing, limited menu options (notably, the absence of chicken and beef) and occasionally salty dishes are mentioned. The state of the restaurant's furniture and overall condition also draw some criticism with comments about worn-out aesthetics and a somewhat run-down atmosphere. For those seeking alternatives, the nearby Timmberjack comes highly recommended as an absolute must-visit for its superior dining experience. Additionally, some guests suggest venturing into the village of Bispingen for dinner to explore more options. In summary, while Alpine Hotel offers some commendable dining experiences, particularly with its Bavarian dishes, there are minor areas for improvement and exploring nearby eateries could enhance one’s culinary journey.

Rooms

Alpine Hotel features a blend of elegantly furnished log cabins and modern, well-maintained rooms that promise a comfortable stay. Most guests highlight the cleanliness and tasteful decor of the rooms, noting that they are modern and cozy. The cabins, in particular, are frequently praised for their spaciousness, charming design and the fresh wood smell that adds to their rustic appeal. Despite some rooms being on the smaller side, visitors found them to be well-furnished with modern bathrooms and sufficient amenities, including heaters, free WIFI, refrigerators and even separate bedrooms and living spaces in some log cabins. The sound insulation in rooms is generally good, ensuring a quiet environment for relaxation. However, some rooms do face minor issues such as being too warm or lacking air conditioning, storage and some necessary kitchen facilities. Maintenance concerns include occasional drainage problems in showers, minor cosmetic repairs and the need for better ventilation in certain areas. On the whole, the hotel rooms and cabins are commended for their bright, modern and stylish decor, ensuring a visually pleasing and comfortable experience. While there are a few areas for improvement, the positive aspects of the accommodation far outweigh the negatives, making Alpine Hotel a favorable choice for travelers.

Beds

Alpine Hotel boasts a variety of beds that have largely been praised for their comfort. Guests frequently describe the beds as comfortable, cozy and very good with particular mentions of the box spring beds being super comfortable. Many guests appreciated the soft pillows, although some mentioned there were too many. Numerous reviews highlighted the beds as a key aspect of their positive stay, often noting that they had not slept so well in a long time. However, the softness of the beds received mixed feedback. Several guests found the beds too soft or sagging and there were mentions of mattresses being worn. Some guests were also dissatisfied with the beds separating when pushed together to form a double bed and a few found the beds to be narrow. Despite these occasional issues, the overall sentiment regarding the beds at Alpine Hotel skews positive with many guests expressing high levels of sleeping comfort and satisfaction.

Cleanliness

Alpine Hotel shines with its spacious, inviting rooms that are frequently commended for their cleanliness. Guests frequently note rooms that are very clean and nicely furnished, creating a comfortable and pleasant stay. The hotel's clean and silent area, along with its modern facilities, contributes to a positive overall impression with the clean bathrooms, clean towels and well-maintained linens being particularly appreciated. However, some reviews indicate inconsistency in cleanliness across different areas of the hotel. While many rooms are described as clean and tidy, issues such as cobwebs, dust in corners and dirty carpets have been mentioned. Specific concerns include cleanliness in the cabins with reports of dust, cobwebs, mold and instances of dirty towels and sheets being noted. The cleaning quality of some accommodations has been marked as abysmal with some areas like hallways and staircases requiring more attention. Despite these mixed reviews on cleanliness, the general ambiance of the hotel remains positive with the new facilities, friendly staff and overall sense of tidiness reinforcing a satisfactory experience for many guests. Improvements in cleaning routines could further enhance the guest experience and address the current cleanliness issues more effectively.

Staff

Alpine Hotel receives consistent praise for its exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Guests frequently highlight the approachable and accommodating nature of the team, from reception to the restaurant. Many reviews emphasized the staff's ability to manage and support guests efficiently, even during busy times. Visitors appreciate the politeness and attentiveness of the employees, often noting their competence and professionalism. However, there are a few mixed experiences regarding the hotel's reception services with some guests finding the reception area confusing and inadequately staffed. A minor number of reviews mentioned instances of unmotivated or untrained staff members and language barriers at the reception. Despite these occasional concerns, the overwhelming sentiment conveys a dedicated and welcoming team that strives to enhance the guest experience. In summary, the remarkable friendliness and helpfulness of the Alpine Hotel's staff significantly contribute to positive guest experiences, making them feel welcomed and well cared for throughout their stay.

Wi-Fi

Alpine Hotel offers a range of amenities to guests, but the Wi-Fi service has been a significant point of contention among visitors. While complimentary Wi-Fi is available, it often falls short of expectations. Many guests have reported unstable connections, frequent drops and weak signals throughout their stay. In some cases, the internet did not work at all or users had to log in multiple times a day to maintain a connection. Additionally, Wi-Fi reception in specific areas like the wooden houses and cabins was especially poor. Despite these issues, it's noteworthy that the Wi-Fi met expectations for German hotel standards and was stable for some guests. Nonetheless, the overall sentiment points to the need for substantial improvements in the hotel's internet services to enhance the guest experience.

Family

Alpine Hotel offers an ideal retreat for families with children, providing a plethora of kid-friendly activities and amenities. The spacious accommodations, including log cabins and family rooms, comfortably house families of four. Children are sure to enjoy the extensive play facilities on-site such as playgrounds, bouncy castles, slides and climbing walls. Additional active pursuits such as go-karting, skiing at the nearby snowdome and hiking in the Lüneburg Heath are also accessible. The resort’s family-oriented environment is consistently praised, making it great for both short stays and longer vacations. Parents can relax knowing that the hotel is designed to keep kids engaged with plenty of game options and lively activities nearby, including attractions like Crazy House and Heidepark Soltau. Pet owners will be pleased to find it is also a dog-friendly facility. Overall, Alpine Hotel stands out as a convenient and fun-filled destination for family vacations, ensuring a memorable stay for both children and adults.

3 Star

The Alpine Hotel offers a comfortable and modern experience that generously exceeds expectations for a three-star establishment. Despite its proximity to the highway, soundproof windows ensure guests experience a tranquil stay. Value for money is highlighted with clean and spacious rooms featuring modern furnishings and amenities. Guests praise the wooden cottages for offering an experience that transcends the typical three-star rating and many commend the hotel for its good location, perfect for a one-night stop or a ski vacation. Cleanliness is well-maintained with fresh bedding and immaculate rooms. However, visitors should be aware of some limitations consistent with its three-star classification. The facilities are minimal with no air conditioning, minibar or kitchenette in the rooms. Also, noise levels from the surrounding area can be high and the breakfast offerings are basic, lacking variety for extended stays. Additionally, the garden maintenance appears neglected and signage within the hotel could be improved for better navigation. For those seeking a straightforward and affordable place to stay with modern comforts, Alpine Hotel fits the bill. It successfully balances good service and amenities with reasonable pricing, though those expecting luxury may find it lacking in certain areas.

Dog Friendly

The Alpine Hotel is an excellent choice for travelers with dogs, offering a range of amenities and facilities that cater specifically to pets. Dogs are warmly welcomed throughout the resort, including in the rooms, restaurants and public areas. Upon arrival, pets are greeted with bowls, beds and even treats, ensuring they feel right at home. The resort provides a dog-friendly environment where dogs are allowed almost anywhere, which makes it easy for guests to keep their pets close. The hotel staff warmly interact with the pets, often cuddling and petting them, which adds a personal touch to the stay. For those who like to explore, the surrounding forests offer great walking paths, ideal for both dogs and their owners to enjoy some outdoor time together. The resort also ensures that pets have plenty of grassy areas for walks and water is always available for pets. In addition to the pet-friendly features, the resort is perfect for families with children, offering various activities such as a bouncy castle. The combination of child and pet-friendly amenities makes it an ideal vacation spot for families traveling with both kids and pets. The price-performance ratio is considered to be very reasonable, providing good value for money. Overall, the Alpine Hotel stands out as a highly pet-friendly destination where dogs are not just allowed but genuinely welcomed and well-cared for, ensuring a pleasant stay for both pets and their owners.
