The rooms are generally praised for their cleanliness and comfort, despite some criticisms relating to outdated features. Many guests find the accommodations to be well-maintained, roomy, and furnished with essential amenities, offering good value for money. Some noise from nearby areas such as the pub's beer garden is noted, but guests appreciate the easy access to the excellent food served at the hotel's bistro.
Cleanliness feedback is mixed, with many guests appreciating the consistently tidy rooms and prompt service delivery. The bathrooms are typically clean with satisfactory showers and baths. However, some persistent cleanliness issues, such as mould in showers and cockroach droppings, indicate areas for improvement. Friendly staff help accommodate early check-ins and maintain an overall welcoming atmosphere despite occasional lapses in cleaning standards.
The hotel staff are repeatedly commended for their friendliness, helpfulness, and readiness to assist guests, significantly enhancing the experience for visitors. Their positive attitude is a standout feature that complements the good amenities and prime location, ensuring guests feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout their stay.

The Windsor Heritage Motel boasts an enviable location, making it a prime choice for travelers seeking convenience and accessibility. Situated just a short walk from the main street, guests can easily explore local shops, restaurants, and attractions. Its central position provides easy access to the city center, the picturesque river, and essential amenities, especially for those attending events at the Hawkesbury Race Club or exploring Windsor. The tranquil surroundings enhance its appeal, offering a peaceful retreat close to the city's hustle and bustle. Furthermore, the motel combines affordability with a strategic setting, providing both comfort and convenience in one of the area's best locations.
However, the motel struggles to meet expectations in several areas of its offerings. The rooms have been consistently criticized for poor maintenance, cleanliness issues, and outdated amenities. Problems such as musty odors, inadequate bedding, malfunctioning TVs, and outdated bathrooms are common among guests. The inconsistent housekeeping, coupled with privacy concerns due to missing blinds, underscores a need for comprehensive renovation. Cleanliness appears to be a significant concern, with multiple reports of mold, dirty linens, unpleasant aromas, and pest issues. These factors contribute to a disappointing experience, highlighting the need for improved hygiene and maintenance.
Guest experiences with the staff have been mixed. Although numerous guests praised the staff's friendliness and helpfulness, creating a welcoming atmosphere, others reported encounters with rude and unaccommodating service. This inconsistency in service standards, coupled with inadequate responses to cleanliness complaints, has left some guests dissatisfied.
The beds have also received mixed feedback, with many guests finding them uncomfortable due to lumpy or overly firm mattresses and inadequate linens. External noise and light intrusion due to poor curtains further detracted from the sleeping experience. Addressing these issues with the beds and general room quality would significantly enhance guest satisfaction.
Overall, while Windsor Heritage Motel offers an ideal location and an affordable stay, it requires substantial improvements in room quality, cleanliness, and service to elevate the overall guest experience.
