Located in the small town of Bernalda in Italy, the palazzo was soon purchased by Francis Coppola's grandfather who wanted to turn it into a luxury hotel so as to draw tourists in this beautiful area of Italy that also happened to be his hometown. It was turned into a boutique hotel in 2004 and has been charming its guests with its stylish and historic atmosphere and idyllic natural surroundings ever since.
