Location

Pousada Vista do Rio boasts a serene location with a very beautiful river view, ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city center. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, the hotel provides easy access to transportation options, making it a convenient base. While slightly removed from the dining and downtown area, guests find that taxis are both accessible and affordable. For some, the 1.4 km walk to the center is manageable, offering the chance to take in the peaceful surroundings. Despite the distance from urban attractions, the tranquil atmosphere and helpful staff create a cozy retreat, perfect for unwinding away from city noise. Those with a vehicle will find the location particularly well-suited to their needs, allowing for a balance of seclusion and accessibility.

Breakfast

At Pousada Vista do Rio, guests are welcomed with a breakfast experience that combines regional and diverse offerings. Notably mentioned are options like tapioca, eggs upon request, and a variety of fruits, juices, couscous, breads, and cakes, which contribute to an enjoyable start to the day. The breakfast is often described as very good, with particular appreciation for its regional flavors and the freshness of its natural juices. While the breakfast is praised for having great options and is often considered excellent, some guests note areas for improvement in terms of variety and quality. Despite this, the majority view is positive, with guests emphasizing the satisfactory and delightful nature of the breakfast spread. The location of the inn, being close to various attractions, complements the breakfast experience, making it convenient for guests seeking both comfort and accessibility. However, for those expecting extensive dining options on-site, the lack of an accompanying restaurant might be a minor drawback. Overall, Pousada Vista do Rio offers a commendable breakfast that leaves a lasting impression with its taste and selection, albeit with some room for enhancement.

Rooms

The rooms at Pousada Vista do Rio offer a mixed experience for guests. Many travelers appreciate the spaciousness and comfort of their accommodations, with some rooms being described as huge and cozy. Guests have highlighted the breathtaking views from the balconies, particularly those overlooking the Preguiças River, enhancing the overall stay. Cleanliness is commendable, with even smaller rooms noted for their neatness. However, there are several areas that could benefit from improvement. Some guests found their rooms small and cramped, with a particularly hard mattress in certain instances. The lack of adequate bedside lighting and basic furniture like bedside tables or wardrobes has also been mentioned. The bathrooms, while occasionally praised for size and hot water, often suffer from lighting issues and can be quite small. Noise may be an issue for rooms near the balcony and pool, and some reported faulty air conditioning and plumbing problems. Overall, while the Pousada offers a charming and generally comfortable stay with exceptional views, considerations around room size, decor, and amenities can impact the level of comfort experienced.

Cleanliness

Pousada Vista do Rio presents itself as a well-organized establishment with a focus on cleanliness that generally satisfies guests. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is praised, with several noting that both the rooms and facilities are very clean, ensuring a pleasant and restful environment after excursions. The clean pool and well-maintained outdoor area contribute to the serene and inviting atmosphere, with the beautiful surroundings providing ample spots to relax. However, despite the high standards of general cleanliness, some guests have noted potential areas for improvement, particularly in the frequency and thoroughness of room cleaning. Some guests have experienced inconsistencies, such as the need to specifically request cleaning and the non-automatic restocking of toiletries and minibar supplies. Additionally, the hotel displays signs of aging, with outdated windows and furnishings noted, although this does not seem to overshadow the positive impression of the well-kept facilities overall.

Staff

One standout feature of the Pousada Vista do Rio is its remarkable staff, consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. Front desk personnel, particularly Rodrigo and Dudu, take special care to assist guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The entire team is known for being attentive, polite, and dedicated, with Vivian, Caio, Viviane, Smith, and manager Wladir receiving special mentions for their attentive service. The staff goes above and beyond to exceed guest expectations, offering personalized service and demonstrating a willingness to help at every turn. Guests can expect exceptional quality service characterized by genuine cordiality and prompt assistance, making their stay even more enjoyable.

Pool
