Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Manhattan Apart Hotel in Porto Alegre impresses with its prime location, offering excellent convenience and value for money. Positioned near major landmarks such as Farroupilha Park, Araújo Viana Auditorium, UFRGS and the city center, it provides easy access to bus stops and the airport. The hotel is well-appreciated for its free parking, making it particularly attractive for those with vehicles. Guests commend the clean, spacious and well-ventilated rooms, noting the basic but functional kitchen facilities that enhance the appeal for longer stays.
The rooms themselves are described as clean, comfortable and well-organized with the added charm of balconies and pleasant views. Despite some criticisms about older furnishings and dim lighting, the overall ambience remains positive due to the diligent maintenance and cleanliness. The staff greatly contribute to the positive experience, often praised for their friendliness, helpfulness and efficiency. Although there are occasional mentions of disorganization during the check-in process, the cordiality and attentiveness of staff members like Mr. Carlos stand out.
Common areas and rooms are frequently highlighted for their immaculate condition, though a few guests noted isolated issues like stained sofas and unpleasant odors. The hotel's cleanliness and comfort standards are generally high, fostering an inviting atmosphere.
However, the Wi-Fi service has received mixed reviews. Though some guests find it excellent, many report connectivity issues, weak signals and unreliability that can be problematic for those relying on a stable internet connection.
Parking facilities receive consistently high marks, being secure, ample and conveniently located, which adds to the overall stress-free experience. Furthermore, while the beds garner varied reactions, many guests find them comfortable and conducive to a good sleep, despite some reporting overly soft or worn-out mattresses.
In summary, Manhattan Apart Hotel delivers a practical and cost-effective stay, especially for budget-conscious travelers. Its strategic location, friendly staff and clean, functional accommodations make it a solid choice for both short and extended visits. Although there are areas for improvement, such as Wi-Fi connectivity and some aspects of room maintenance, the overall experience is positive, marked by convenience and value.
