Very Good
Location
Hillscourt is the perfect base for exploring the south Birmingham area, tucked away in a beautiful parkland and woodland setting on the side of the Lickey Hills. There is plenty of parking available and shops and restaurants close by, making it a convenient location for your stay. It's an ideal location for those visiting Birmingham, as it's only about 15 minutes from M42 and not far off the motorway. The area is quiet with a lovely setting and the forest nearby is perfect for hiking. The location is easy to find and access with good car parking facilities available. The staff are very friendly and the food is great too. The rooms are spotless, well-designed and some still boast original features giving it character. The semi-rural location is wonderful and so very peaceful, a great value hotel to stay in for a quiet retreat.

Breakfast
The breakfast at Hillscourt is highly recommended as guests praise a good selection and outstanding quality. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing a packed lunch instead of breakfast when requested. The afternoon tea is also highly regarded. The breakfast is described as excellent with a great range of hot and cold options, quality ingredients and ample portions. The buffet breakfast is topped up frequently and is plentiful and hot, offering a good variety of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, pastries and cooked options. Guests also appreciate the inclusion of breakfast in the price and the option for a bed with breakfast. Additionally, the evening meals are praised for their good range and quality. However, one negative review mentioned that no breakfast was served on a Bank Holiday Monday, which was not communicated with sufficient notice to the guests. Overall, the breakfast at Hillscourt is a smashing way to start the day off!

Dinner
If you're looking for a hotel with fantastic food and service, Hillscourt is an excellent option. Many guests raved about the delicious cuisine with one reviewer calling it "second to none." The Bistro Bar in particular received high praise with many guests enjoying great dinners there. Although some guests expressed disappointment with the evening meal or were frustrated by limited restaurant hours (they stop serving food at 9pm on Fridays), the meal provided in the bar was still very good. Bar food was also superb and not overly expensive. While some guests had issues with noise or room size, the general consensus was that the food was excellent and the selection plentiful. Don't miss out on a chance to try the delicious meals available at Hillscourt!

The hotel offers a good choice for travelers who prioritize comfortable beds in search of a good night's sleep.

Business
Located in a secure and convenient location for business travelers passing through or on a stop-over, Hillscourt offers great value for money. Despite being a conference center, single business travelers can expect a clean and spacious room with plenty of power sockets to charge gadgets. The bar and dining hall offer a decent food menu, although breakfast could start a little earlier. However, the wifi signal in the rooms is not strong and may require walking back to the hotel's main areas. Families with kids and teenagers should note that check out is strictly at 10 am and domestics may knock twice to remind you of the time. Nevertheless, Hillscourt is a cost-effective solution for short work trips.

Accessible
Hillscourt seems to be a hotel with a lovely quiet location and reasonable prices. However, accessibility for guests with disabilities can be challenging as there is no lift and some areas of the hotel are like a maze with too many stairs. Although there are accessible rooms, some guests found them small, badly designed and almost unusable with little thought given to their needs. On a positive note, guests appreciated the loads of lighting and plug points in the rooms and there were no other major issues to dislike. However, the entrance and signposting could be easy to miss.
