Eden, another dining option, was praised, while breakfast was described as just so-so. Overall, while many guests enjoyed the flavorful and varied breakfast options, there are notable concerns regarding cost, busyness and inconsistent quality, particularly at the Primrose restaurant.

Guests appreciate the top-notch, timely service and the amazing meal quality. The views from the restaurant windows and the overall ambience contribute positively to the dining experience. While some guests found the food in the hotel's lobby and lounge to be of poor quality, others enjoyed the amazing food offered at the Primrose and the lounge. Many reviews highlight the enjoyable hot pool and the extensive facilities, which include a sauna, steam room, whirlpool and even an ice-skating rink. The pool's temperature is perfectly suited for swimming, making it a hit among kids and adults alike. However, there are some areas for improvement. The pool area itself can look a bit tired and cleanliness is occasionally an issue with some guests noting that the pool and locker rooms were messy and the washrooms had hair on the walls. Additionally, the pool area can get crowded with kids running around adding to the hustle and bustle. Despite these minor drawbacks, the majority of guests find the pool and its associated amenities, such as the nice sitting areas outside, to be a significant plus. Easy access to the nearby Banff Hot Springs adds to the appeal, making the Rimrock Resort Hotel a strong contender for travelers seeking both relaxation and recreation during their stay in Banff.

Many guests found the parking practical and appreciated the ease of transportation to and from the hotel. Some, however, mentioned that the parking could use updating and found the additional costs, such as the $25 per night fee, to be high. There was a sentiment among several guests that parking fees should be included, particularly given the premium room rates. The heated, attached parking was noted as a benefit, but for those staying longer periods, the parking fees added up and felt excessive. Valet service was mentioned positively for its punctuality, though the extra charge for using electric vehicle chargers was noted. Overall, while the parking facilities are good, the extra costs were a common point of critique among guests.

Overall, while some visitors noted a lack of kid-focused activities outside the holiday season, The Rimrock Resort Hotel impresses with its festive family offerings, first-class service and amenities tailored to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for families.

Luxury

The Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff offers a high-end experience that’s ideal for special trips, boasting luxurious amenities such as comfortable robes. However, some visitors feel that despite the high room rates, which can exceed $600 per night, the luxury level doesn’t always meet the expectations of a 5-star establishment.
