Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Terrassenhotel Edertal excels in delivering a picturesque and serene experience for its guests, primarily due to its exceptional location. Situated close to Lake Edersee and its dam, the hotel provides stunning views and easy access to various outdoor activities such as boating and walking. The terraces and balconies enhance the serene experience, making it ideal for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility.
The breakfast buffet at the hotel receives mixed reactions; many appreciate the variety and ample provisions with highlights on the delicious, though sometimes lukewarm, coffee. However, there are suggestions for improvement, particularly with the quality of scrambled eggs, the variety of cheese options and the reduction of excessive packaging. While generally considered good and plentiful, some guests feel that the breakfast's cost does not fully justify the experience.
Dinner experiences offer flavorful and well-prepared food, but some guests find portion sizes small and wait times long. The restaurant’s limited operating hours and occasional disorganization have been noted as areas needing enhancement. Despite these issues, the cozy dining ambiance and good menu selections generally leave a positive impression.
Guest rooms are frequently praised for their spaciousness, cleanliness and spectacular views, especially from certain vantage points like room 23. However, some rooms, particularly the bathrooms, feel outdated to some guests and instances of minor cleanliness issues are occasionally noted. Comfort levels vary with some guests finding beds small but appreciating the large pillows and overall amenities.
Cleanliness standards across the hotel receive mixed reviews. While many guests appreciate the clean and friendly atmosphere, there are occasional issues such as cobwebs, uncleaned common areas and construction dust, which need addressing.
The staff at Terrassenhotel Edertal are generally friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Nonetheless, some disorganization and language barriers occasionally detract from the smoothness of service, particularly in dining areas. These initial operational challenges are acknowledged, but the staff's noticeable efforts are appreciated.
Parking at the hotel is convenient with ample and accessible spaces, though some guests note extra charges associated with it. Despite these concerns, the overall parking experience is positively highlighted for its convenience.
In summary, Terrassenhotel Edertal offers a tranquil stay with its prime location, scenic views and generally positive staff interactions. While there are areas needing improvement, particularly in breakfast variety and dinner service efficiency, the hotel provides a clean, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment ideal for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful retreat.

Summary of reviews related to the 'Dog Friendly' category
Summarized by AI
The Ringhotel Roggenland is a great option for travelers with dogs, as there were no issues and the hotel was very dog-friendly. The hotel offers underground parking for bikes, which is also convenient. While some guests thought the fee of €12 per day for their dog was a bit high, others found the hotel's dog facilities to be great. However, one guest mentioned feeling slightly isolated with their dog in a separate building. Overall, there were no specific negative comments and it was recommended that the hotel reserves specific rooms for guests with pets.
