The surrounding area is beautiful with the picturesque Moors/Dales and Whitby Bay within an hour's drive. The hotel is located in an attractive area of York and is just a short distance from the city centre. The location is excellent for visiting York and other nearby attractions. Overall, guests find the location of The Old Potting Shed to be a wonderful and ideal setting for a lovely stay near York.

The hamper breakfast, which is delivered each morning on time, is a fabulous extra and is presented beautifully with lots of choices. The continental breakfast, in particular, was delicious and fresh and guests can choose the time they want it. Overall, the breakfast delivery was great, nicely presented and the hamper breakfast they did for guests was fabulous both days.
