Very Good

Location

Sunriver Resort is a beautiful getaway located out in the country, surrounded by nature and exquisite scenery. The surroundings and sunsets are amazing and guests love the walking and bike trails. The resort has a marina, airport and is conveniently located near restaurants. There are plenty of hidden surprises and lots of outdoor activities to do both on and off the resort including horseback riding and hikes to the falls. It's a perfect location for families and couples alike with nearby amenities and easy to find our way around town. The property is beautiful with an awesome location that provides access to great activities, such as hiking or biking trails, wildlife and nearby restaurants.

Breakfast

The breakfast at Sunriver Resort has received mixed reviews from guests with some expressing disappointment in the options and coffee quality at the main lodge and nearby shop. However, others have raved about the breakfast offerings, particularly from Carson's kitchen and noted the convenience of being able to grab quick bites to eat. Highlights include big portions and amazing breakfast options, including Spanish coffee. Overall, there seem to be plenty of options for guests to choose from and those who find the right spot seem to be quite pleased with their breakfast experiences.

Rooms

Sunriver Resort is a lovely resort with clean and comfortable rooms, perfect for families with children. Some rooms may need updating, but in general, the rooms are cozy and come with great amenities like fireplaces and balconies overlooking the beautiful meadow. The resort is pet-friendly which is an added bonus. Some guests report small rooms, but this did not detract from their stay. Overall, the resort is very clean and guests feel confident about the Covid protocols. The resort has a lot of activities to offer and the gift shop is a great addition.

Beds

Sunriver Resort has received mixed reviews regarding their beds, but the majority of guests praised the comfort of the furniture and bedding. Many highlighted the fantastic king-size beds, some mentioning the loft beds specifically and others simply describing them as suuuper comfortable. Despite some complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms and the lack of pillows, guests appreciated the lovely resort and the convenience of being able to walk to nearby dining options. However, a few guests didn't have a good experience - some found the beds too hard, old or even soiled. Overall, though, most guests seemed to have had a comfortable stay at Sunriver Resort and many said they would stay there again.

While some guests did encounter a few issues with cleanliness, for the most part, the rooms were very clean and comfortable with some guests specifically mentioning the cleanliness of the bathroom. The housekeeping staff were attentive and while some rooms needed updates and improvements, overall, guests were happy with the cleanliness of the hotel.

Staff

One of the highlights of Sunriver Resort according to guests is their amazing and friendly staff. Despite COVID-19 precautions, the staff was still able to deliver exceptional hospitality. They were described as helpful, polite, knowledgeable, efficient and accommodating. A property manager named Andrew even saved the trip for one guest. However, there were some instances where guests encountered unwelcome or indifferent staff. Nonetheless, the majority of guests found them to be more than nice and exceptionally friendly. There were some issues with shortages and overcharging, but good service prevailed. Overall, the staff at Sunriver Resort played a pivotal role in making guests feel comfortable and welcome.

Pool

The Sunriver Resort boasts both an indoor and outdoor pool with hot tubs available for guests to enjoy. Guests appreciated the nice facilities and outdoor furniture on the pool deck. Some guests were disappointed that certain amenities, including the hot tub by their room, were closed. However, the pool was described as great by many guests. During COVID times, reservations were required to use the pool and some found it too busy. While some guests had issues with the reservation system for pool sessions, overall the staff was very responsive to requests. However, some guests were unhappy that children were not allowed in certain areas. Guests were also frustrated by resort charges even though some amenities were unavailable and the lack of mask-wearing and social distancing at the pool. Despite some challenges, the pool seems to be a fun and enjoyable part of the Sunriver Resort experience.

Family

Sunriver Resort is an excellent destination for families with kids, offering a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Guests love the beautiful landscape, biking rentals and pool. There are plenty of activities to keep kids entertained, such as playing outside in the snow, a holiday light show and other fun activities. However, some guests had issues with not being able to access certain facilities they paid for, but overall, Sunriver Resort is recognized as a great place for families to visit. The staff is friendly and helpful and they go above and beyond to accommodate guests. Families really appreciate the spacious rooms with plenty of room for everyone. Kids can even play right outside the room with a balcony overlooking the yard. Despite the basketball courts being off-limits, Sunriver Resort is a pleasant and ideal place for families who love to spend quality time together, make memories and plan to come back in the future.

Sunriver Resort is a beautiful four-star hotel with nice rooms and good facilities. Guests have enjoyed their stays, citing the beautiful landscape and superb environment. This was a great family getaway which created lots of memories. The resort is lovely, clean and comfortable to stay in. While some guests had issues with the small shower and dark rooms, those were outweighed by the positives of the location and comfort of the hotel. The food was generally good with one unfortunate exception and staff were friendly. Despite some issues with the booking process, most guests had a very good experience and would stay at Sunriver Resort again.
