Guests can enjoy in-water massages and self-treatment areas with wonderful bathroom products from the Blue Lagoon spa. The private spa lagoon is a nice intimate touch for relaxation away from the Blue Lagoon crowd. However, some guests have had issues with booking, but the hotel staff was quick to resolve the matter. The lunch offered at the spa cafe is great. The only disappointment guests had was the "ritual" at the spa and some guests experienced unprofessionalism from the spa staff. Overall, the spa at The Retreat at Blue Lagoon Iceland is a fantastic, unique experience that many guests have deemed their favorite in the world.

The hotel's spa area, located on a separate floor, is equipped with dry sauna, float pods, sauna blanket and compression boots. The Aurora pods are a unique feature that guests must try. The spa is reserved for Deluxe room guests free of charge, while other guests must pay an additional fee. Unfortunately, the swimming pool and spa were closed during our stay. However, the hotel's location near the Blue Lagoon and with its own spa area ensure that guests have plenty of opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation. Massages are also available and the spa personnel are friendly and accommodating. Though guests note that the spa facilities could be more flexible, overall visitors were pleased with the spa experience at Northern Light Inn.
