Location
Montigo Resorts, Somerset is a beautiful, historical building situated in a lovely setting with plenty of parking. The entrance can be a bit difficult to find in the dark, but it's well worth the effort. The hotel is ideal for those looking for a great, relaxed place to stay in the countryside or for someone/couples wanting to visit nearby locations like Bath, Bristol, Shepton and Wells. The hotel is within walking distance of the historic town centre and there are day beds in the grounds where you can relax and enjoy the pretty surroundings. The location is central if you need to be in Shelton Mallet, but there's nothing much to do in the surrounding areas within walking distance. However, if you love beautiful country house hotels, gorgeous picture windows with views over the garden and lovely grounds, then this could be the perfect location for you.

Dinner
At Montigo Resorts, Somerset, dining seems to be a mixed experience. Some guests rave about the delicious food, particularly the duck dish and lunchtime meals, while others find the limited and uninspiring menu disappointing. Despite this, the breakfast menu is mostly praised with guests saying both the quality and quantity of food are amazing. However, some find the costs of meals and snacks to be too high and other guests feel that the food is not worth the prices charged. Service in the restaurant is also hit or miss with some guests saying it was excellent while others found it appalling. The dining room itself may need a bit of an update and some guests mention that the portions are tiny, severely limited, cold or too salty. Additionally, there have been complaints that the menu does not change over the course of multiple night stays. On the other hand, the menu is seen as unusual, offering lots of options to try. Overall, dining at Montigo Resorts, Somerset seems to be a bit of a gamble, but those who are lucky enough to have a great experience find it to be an excellent restaurant.

Although some guests did not consider the Wi-Fi issue a significant problem, others found it to be a severe inconvenience. Despite the hotel's beautiful location and wellness amenities, the inconsistent and unpredictable Wi-Fi connection detracted from their overall experience.
