The restaurant offers limited but well-prepared menu options of mostly bar food. The wine list is good and the wine is served chilled. The staff is fantastic, friendly, helpful and quick to cater to your needs. The evening meals are faultless and excellent, while the breakfast is delicious. The ambience set by the cosy hotel mixes well with the food to create an incredible dining experience. However, the menu choice is limited and the restaurant closes before 7.45 pm. Staff
The staff at The Wheatsheaf at Beetham are simply amazing! They were incredibly friendly, accommodating and attentive, making our stay easy and enjoyable. The charming and professional team led by Andy the manager, made us feel welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel at home. From Laura, Binky and Becca who were a credit to the Wheatsheaf to the warm welcoming atmosphere from locals, we were certainly in good hands. We were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service, excellent food and great hospitality provided by the staff. They were very organized and worked hard to keep everything Covid secure while making us feel comfortable. Whether we were a large party in a separate room or a couple with two whippets, we felt right at home thanks to the fantastic staff. We can't thank the staff enough for being lovely, accommodating and attentive - truly making our stay extra special!

Dog Friendly
If you're looking for a dog-friendly getaway, The Wheatsheaf at Beetham is the perfect spot. The hotel is extremely accommodating to our furry friends, even making a nice fuss of them. The staff were incredibly friendly and never made us feel like outcasts with our two whippets. The location is ideal with plenty of nice walks for the dogs nearby. Muddy boots and pets are more than welcome and our dogs thought they were in heaven with all the attention they received. However, it's worth noting that some rooms may be quite small, particularly if you have more than one dog with you and the stairs up to the rooms are quite steep, which could be challenging for some people and their pups. We would have appreciated a rug on the floor to prevent our dog's claws from making too much noise on the wood, but overall we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend The Wheatsheaf at Beetham as a dog-friendly hotel.
