Very Good
Location
Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego is a stunning property located on a private beach, just a few steps away from the shore and far from traffic. Visitors will feel like being in an exclusive tropical island with lovely atmosphere and beautiful bay views. The resort is located near everything with quick access to attractions such as Sea World, the Zoo and Belmont Park. Beaches around the property are awesome and guests have access to water activities right at the bay. The location is perfect, felt like an island resort and the property is set in well-kept and maintained ground. The resort's location, services and amenities were amazing and visitors really enjoyed the quietness and beauty of the location. One guest said that it felt like being in Hawaii or somewhere else far away from San Diego. All in all, the location of the Paradise Point Resort & Spa is fabulous, well-located for the lagoon and proximity to the city and a great place to stay for an unforgettable experience.

Breakfast
The breakfast options at Paradise Point Resort & Spa received mixed reviews from guests. Some were disappointed with the limited choice and long wait times, while others praised the quality of the food. However, some guests thought that the additional charges for breakfast - $35 per person - were excessive, especially given the high room rates. Some guests chose not to try the breakfast at all, citing the limited eating venues and hours. Despite some negative feedback, a number of guests highly recommended the Barefoot restaurant for breakfast with one guest describing it as "excellent." It seemed clear that the resort could benefit from an increase in staff to handle the high demand for breakfast, as the lines were typically 25-30 minutes long. Overall, while breakfast at Paradise Point Resort & Spa may not be the highlight of a guest's stay, there were still many positives to be found.

Dinner
The dining options at Paradise Point Resort & Spa were a mixed bag according to guest reviews. While some found the quality of food at the Barefoot restaurant to be rather abysmal, others praised it as amazing. The Tidal restaurant, which is the main restaurant, was overpriced and had so-so food according to some guests. However, many others found the quality of food to be really good. The Barefoot Cafe was also praised by some guests.

A common complaint among guests was the limited choices for dinner, especially on a Friday night. Some guests were also not informed about the need for reservations at the Barefoot bar-and-grill to eat rather than sit at the bar. The pool grill was only operational on Wed-Sun which left even fewer dining options.

While some guests found the restaurants to be a little overpriced, others felt that the restaurant prices were very expensive and there was the added inconvenience of minimum consumption per person. The under-staffed restaurant also made for very slow service especially at night and the wait time for spontaneous dining could be up to an hour.

Interestingly, some guests commented on the lack of food options, while others were more specific about wanting more food options. However, both groups had favorable praise for the quality of the food and the service. Overall, guest reviews on the dining options at Paradise Point Resort & Spa were mixed, but the quality of food and service were highlighted as outstanding.

Rooms
Paradise Point Resort & Spa offers a beautiful property with well-designed and updated rooms. The comfortable and clean rooms provide good night's sleep with comfy beds and clean sheets. There were some complaints of outdated facilities, mold in the bathroom and thin walls, but the majority of guests enjoyed the modern furniture and nice staging of the rooms. The rooms were presented as being spacious and well-kept and some guests had great views of semi-private patios or gardens. However, some guests did have issues with dirty floors, lack of daily cleaning unless requested and bugs coming in under the door. Despite complaints of old rooms and outdated furniture in some reviews, others found the rooms to be amazing and cozy. While the location is great, some guests felt the price was extremely overpriced for the condition of the rooms. Overall, Paradise Point Resort & Spa offers nice rooms with beautiful grounds, albeit some areas may require maintenance and renovations.

Beds
If you're planning a stay at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa, you can expect a restful and rejuvenating experience - for the most part. Many guests loved the heated pool, while others noted that the beds could be better. Some guests found their bed a little too soft, while others were unhappy about the standard size doubles. Unfortunately, some travelers reported that their bed was outdated, noisy or in need of replacement. Some mentioned that the furniture in their rooms was slightly warped, but for the most part, guests enjoyed their stay. If you're picky about pillows, you might want to bring along a few extras, as some guests found the provided pillows flat or lacking in variety. However, if you're looking for an enjoyable stay at a resort with plenty of amenities, Paradise Point Resort & Spa is definitely worth considering.

Cleanliness
Paradise Point Resort & Spa is a wonderful property with super clean rooms and well-maintained grounds. Guests appreciate the helpful and friendly staff with everything being kept really clean. Some guests mentioned the need for upkeep and cleaning in certain areas, such as cobwebs in the rooms, but overall the consensus is that the property is fairly clean. There were a few incidents of poor cleaning service and dirty towels, but these were outliers. In short, the resort is a comfortable and pristine place to stay with clean rooms, crisp sheets and clean pools.

Staff
The Paradise Point Resort & Spa boasts an incredible staff with friendly, welcoming team members who are always available to assist guests. The front desk staff, particularly Lupe and Alyx, are excellent and are praised for their polite and helpful service. The resort has a lot of activities and things to do and staff members are always ready to help without any extra cost. Some guests have reported issues with housekeeping, needing to request room cleaning each day, but this is overshadowed by the overall exceptional staff. However, there are a few negative comments about rude staff, particularly with a few unpleasant encounters with restaurant and reception staff. Despite this, the majority of reviews praise the staff and note that they are helpful, accommodating and informative. Overall, the resort is understaffed, but the employees that are there do an excellent job providing a friendly and engaging experience to guests.

Pool
Paradise Point Resort & Spa boasts of multiple pools, including saltwater heated ones, which are well-maintained and clean. There are hot tubs and an adult pool too. While the main swimming pool was closed during some guests' stay, they enjoyed other pools on the resort's island location, where they had easy access to water activities like paddle boarding. Some pools can be small, contributing to some mild disappointment, but in general, the pools have plenty of room to accommodate guests' needs. Lounge chairs, though not perfectly comfortable, further enhance guests' relaxation experience. With firepits at night, the pool area is also a perfect spot for winding down after a day of touring. Although the staff's cleaning service may not always meet guests' expectations, their friendliness, coupled with enjoyable restaurants, live entertainment and many other amenities, add to a pleasant stay at the property.

Beach
If you're looking for a getaway that delivers on direct beach access, then Paradise Point Resort and Spa could be the perfect place for your next vacation. With private and public beaches nearby, there's never a shortage of sandy shorelines to choose from. The resort itself offers beachfront rooms that provide guests with the ultimate beach experience, footsteps away from the water. While some past guests have reported issues with trash and oil seen in the water, these reviews are overshadowed by the many positive comments about the beauty of the beaches themselves. And for those who don't want to spend all day on the beach, the pedestrian-friendly location means that there are plenty of opportunities for shopping, dining and entertainment in the vicinity.

Parking
Paradise Point Resort & Spa is an excellent place to stay for those who need convenient parking. Many guests were delighted to park directly in front of their room/bungalow. Besides, every room had a reserved parking space to provide ultimate convenience to the guests. Even though some guests noted that the parking fees were on the high side, they found it worthwhile to have covered spaces near their rooms. However, a few guests found the parking fees to be outrageous and considered them as an additional burden, especially considering the resort fees already being charged. Nonetheless, some guests appreciated the fact that there were no parking fees, making it an excellent value for money. Despite the parking fees, the guests appreciated the resort's prime location and the convenience of having a reserved parking space.

Family
Paradise Point Resort & Spa is the perfect destination for an unforgettable family vacation. The resort offers beautiful experiences suitable for kids of all ages. The location of the resort radiates a family-friendly vibe with the main pool being a hot spot for families to bond and have lots of fun. There are various pools spread across the resort, so families have several choices. The resort provides many games to play with ample facilities such as bike rides and tennis courts that cater to every family's tastes. The rooms are suitable for a family of four with an extra advantage of the resort being accommodating when lending a microwave to sterilize baby bottles. However, for parents looking to enjoy a vacation from house cleaning, the resort can be a bit challenging. One reviewer mentioned that they were disappointed that cleaning services were available only for guests staying more than 5 days. On the other hand, reviewers agree that the resort provides a secure and fun environment for children with a parent-free adult section. Overall, the resort is perfect for those going as families with plenty of positive reviews from families who return every year since 2017. With that said, the resort could do more on accommodating to guests with children.

4 Star
Paradise Point Resort & Spa may not be perfect, but guests have overwhelmingly positive things to say about this four-star resort. The comfortable rooms are a standout feature and the multiple pools, located throughout the property, are enjoyed by all. The true resort feel is noted by many and the grounds are praised for their cleanliness. Visitors also appreciate the location of the resort, especially if you have a car to explore the area. While some reviewers found the resort to be overpriced, many believe it is worth it with the food quality being an added bonus. Celebrating the 4th of July here is a highlight for one guest and another cannot wait to return. Overall, this is an exceptional option, especially considering the four-star rating.

Luxury
If you're looking for luxurious accommodations in San Diego, look no further than the Paradise Point Resort & Spa. Although some reviewers noted that the facilities were slightly outdated, the high price paid was absolutely worth it. In fact, many guests described their stay as "traumhaftes" - or dreamlike in English.

This resort truly has it all - from beautiful lakes to perfect beaches to lush gardens. And because the resort is located on its own island, you'll feel like you've escaped from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you're traveling with kids or just looking for a romantic getaway, you'll find something for everyone here.

Although the resort is geared more towards families, couples and solo travelers will also find plenty to love. In fact, one reviewer even noted that this was the best resort they had ever experienced on any of their road trips. And with exceptional property features, it's not hard to see why.

Overall, if you're looking for a luxurious and secluded escape in San Diego, you won't find a better option than the Paradise Point Resort & Spa. So go ahead - plan to spend a little extra money to experience all that this great place has to offer. You won't regret it!
