Very Good

Location

Sandhouse Hotel boasts an excellent location that's difficult to beat; it's located right on the beach with stunning views overlooking Rossnowlagh Bay. Guests are treated to spectacular elevated sea views from the seafront terrace, dining room and room balconies. The location is perfect for sightseeing as well as beach walks. The proximity to the beach makes it easy to watch surfers or even take part in water sports. The hotel offers old-world charm with modern amenities, but guests feel the location is the real star here. It's a beautiful spot and the views of the beach are just lovely. Although the car park can be challenging for some guests, the hotel's excellent location on the beach is fantastic. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is excellent, adding to an already wonderful experience.

Breakfast

The breakfast at Sandhouse Hotel is a highlight for guests who are treated to a variety of delicious options to start their day. The food is excellent with some guests even rating it 10/10. The meals are not buffet style but instead, order is taken ensuring that guests receive great value for their money. Healthy choices like gluten-free toast are also available. Guests can enjoy a pot of tea made with loose leaf tea and great quantities of coffee. The staff are friendly and helpful. The views from the dining area are amazing, adding to a relaxing experience. The food is not limited to breakfast as dinner options are equally tasty. The dinner and wine are also appropriately priced. Overall, the food is gorgeous and the breakfast is incredible making it an excellent value for money.

The Sandhouse Hotel is a top-class destination with outstanding food and a nice, friendly atmosphere. Guests enjoyed their meals with very efficient, friendly staff serving them at dinner. Not to mention the dining by the sea was heavenly, providing an amazing view along with the delicious food. The beef medallions were beautifully cooked to perfection and the seafood dishes were gorgeous. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious every morning. However, there were some downsides like limited options and smaller portions on the dinner menu. Some guests felt that the supplements were a bit overpriced and they would have appreciated more vegan options to be available. The pasta option was also deemed overpriced. Despite the few criticisms, generally, the food in the restaurant was excellent, lovely and fabulous. Many guests enjoyed one of their evening meals in the restaurant and some said dinner Saturday night was excellent.

All in all, this hotel is in a fabulous location for a beach stay, whether you're looking to surf, relax, or take a long walk on the glorious beach.
