In addition, the changing rooms were in need of upgrading and towels were not always provided. Some guests were refunded for their spa treatments or received a free spa day for the inconvenience. The hotel is not currently recommended as a spa hotel until all facilities are up and running. Nevertheless, there were still some great spa treatments available for those who didn't mind paying extra.

Use of the indoor pool is included with all overnight stays, but access to the Spa Garden is only included with a full spa break or spa experience. The spa features a tranquil atmosphere with natural materials, tranquility pods and a luxury heated outdoor vitality hydrotherapy pool. The spa also offers spa brunch with a menu focused on nourishing and rejuvenating guests, along with a garden bar. The Spa Garden is exclusive to spa guests and features a feature waterfall and a perfectly heated 38-degree pool.

The outdoor facilities are out of bounds for hotel guests, so it's essential to book a spa slot in advance. There were some disappointments, such as the small indoor swimming pool and some felt the spa aspect was not as impressive as anticipated. Overall, the spa area was beautiful and the entrance via the bar is a bit odd, but the white fluffy dressing gowns and gorgeous products make up for it. The spa stays open until 10 pm, which is incredible, but there were some restrictions on access to the pool and jacuzzi. However, booking a slot worked well and the spa area and pool were lovely. The health club exceeded expectations and the indoor pool and sauna were a treat to use. Although the spa is small, it's stunning and the hotel and spa facilities are absolutely beautiful, making Lanelay Hall Hotel & Spa one of the best hotels and spas out there.
