Haunted Hotel
Renvyle House was built in 1883 and has always been considered a sanctuary for artists, poets and politicians who yearned for the tranquility of rural Ireland. The famous Irish poet W.B. Yeats was a frequent visitor in the hotel and rumour has it that he often tried to connect with the spirits that resided there. Today, guests report that the hotel emanates an eerie and dark aura, while disembodied footsteps can be heard in the corridors, bed sheets and furniture move on their own accord and the ghost of a man hiding in mirrors has been seen by many guests, as well as the ghost of W.B. Yeats himself.
