What is the history of the property?

The property is amazing with extraordinary buildings and stunning views of the sea and countryside. It is a perfect base for exploring the South East of Sicily with proximity by car to the Baroque towns, Montalbano sets and some of the best beaches on the island. Although the cottage rooms are located far away, they offer a calm atmosphere in the heart of the charming countryside where relaxation is the keyword. The hotel's location is strategic and central, close to major roads and very close to Ragusa, making it easy to explore by car Old Ragusa, Ortigia, Noto, Scicli and Donnalucata. It is an enchanting and magical place, immersing you in the green nature of Sicily and making you feel like you are going back in time. It is a fantastic location for those who are looking for tranquility, relaxation and to escape from the chaos of the city. The hotel's location is curated, welcoming and includes a landing strip. Although the hotel's rating is not 5 stars, the location is worth it.

The buffet includes delicious homemade pastries, artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, fresh squeezed juices and even eggs straight from the farm. The spread is extensive and generous with plenty of choices and everything presented beautifully. Some guests note that some items may have been slow to restock and a few felt that the breakfast didn't quite live up to the hotel's 5-star luxury rating. However, overall, the breakfast is definitely worth staying more than one day for.

Dinner

Guests raved about the excellent dinner and delicious food and some took a cooking class and made three dishes which were served to them for lunch. The quality of the food was also highlighted with some saying it was of exceptional quality and from local sources. The romantic and impressive atmosphere of the courtyard added to the dining experience.
