Woodlark is a boutique hotel with an amazing and perfect location in downtown Portland, making it an excellent choice for visitors. The hotel is conveniently close to public transportation, restaurants, shops and various day trips outside the city. Guests can easily access the city's attractions on foot, particularly Powell's Bookstore, Pioneer Square and the Pearl district just a few blocks away from the hotel. The staff is also a standout feature for being very helpful and creating a lovely ambiance. However, some reviewers mentioned that crime, rampant drug use and homelessness present a feeling of unsafety particularly after dark in downtown Portland. Nevertheless, Woodlark remains an excellent choice for those seeking a conveniently located hotel in a sound and safe neighbourhood.

Breakfast

All the staff, including those in the restaurants, are terrific and very accommodating. There were a few instances of sloppy service, but overall, the staff was very nice, accommodating and friendly. The hotel communicates well with guests, so there are no surprises and they are always willing to help guests in any way possible, including accommodating special requests. The staff's friendliness, helpfulness and eagerness to please definitely stand out. However, there were a few instances of unprofessionalism, under-staffing and lack of empathy from the reception personnel. But on the whole, the staff at Woodlark Hotel is energetic, well-informed and prepared to offer suggestions of things to do in the area and always have a smile on their faces.
