Location

Andaz Mayakoba - a concept by Hyatt is situated in a breathtaking location with a combination of wild jungle and beach resort. The gigantic property offers a pristine clean beach with excellent facilities and a 5-minute bike ride through mangroves is a nice experience. Guests loved the jungle feel of the natural setting and transportation is easily available through bicycles spread throughout the resort. The resort's rustic, tranquil and easy-to-move style is perfect for relaxing. The location has beautiful views and the beach area is very nice. Despite the highway's noise, guests can still enjoy the beachfront amenities and pool. The connectivity to other resorts is fantastic and there are bicycles available to travel around the property. However, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, limiting restaurant options and business meetings infrastructure and almost nothing to do on-site. The beach is far away and inaccessible on foot and there's a need to move around via a golf cart or bicycle. The hotel is not kids friendly and during the Sargassum seaweed season, the beach is impracticable. Guests must contend with the smell of diesel and loud machine noises when swimming in the pool.
