The hotel is full of character with low beams throughout, making it feel cosy and snug. The bed was always described as exceptionally comfortable and massive. Some rooms, such as the Spitfire 1945, are very well endowed with modern decor and equipment. The hotel/pub staff were always friendly and the location was good.
