The hotel staff provided secure storage for our bikes. Although some guests complained about noise and small rooms, most guests found the rooms to be spacious, comfy and well-appointed. The hotel is full of character with low beams throughout, making it feel cosy and snug. The bed was always described as exceptionally comfortable and massive. Some rooms, such as the Spitfire 1945, are very well endowed with modern decor and equipment. The hotel/pub staff were always friendly and the location was good. However, some guests had issues with the breakfast and the service they received. Overall, The Red Lion had well-thought-out rooms, lovely decorations and made guests happy.
