Cleanliness and size were common positive comments with some guests enjoying a lovely big and comfortable bed with crisp linen, as well as decent sized TVs and nice bathrooms. However, many guests were disappointed with the dated and tired decor, frayed carpets and curtains hanging off the rails. Issues regarding maintenance such as missing picture frames, dents in walls and poor water supply were also reported. Some guests even mentioned encountering spiders and cobwebs in their rooms. Additionally, a lack of bottled water and amenities such as shower caps and body lotion was noted. The room upgrade process was also criticized with one guest receiving a standard room despite booking a Deluxe King room. However, there were no reviews that specifically mentioned any negative aspects of the beds.

The Manor House At Celtic Manor boasts fantastic spa facilities that guests absolutely love. The pool and jacuzzi are particularly amazing, providing a relaxing atmosphere for guests to enjoy. Additionally, guests have highly recommended the food, stating that there is a lot of variety during breakfast. While the lively spa may be a bit of a downside for some, others find it to be a great atmosphere. Some guests have mentioned a desire to return just to try out the spa again. Keep in mind, however, that the lockers in the health spa can be a bit of a nightmare. Nevertheless, the lovely spa facilities and the range of services and activities provided, including golf and sauna, make this a great value for those looking to relax and have some fun. Overall, the spa is often the highlight and main reason for guests' stay at The Manor House At Celtic Manor.

Pool
The Manor House at Celtic Manor is a hotel that offers fantastic facilities to its guests. Many guests were pleased with the swimming pool and noted that it was well-run. Although some guests had to deal with long walks and lift waits, they found it lovely to have the option to use the pool. However, some guests found swimming pool access complicated to book. When the main pool was not in use, guests were offered other pools off-site but many were satisfied with the pool and jacuzzi, describing them as amazing. Others said that the swimming pool/spa use was included and was really quiet and lovely. The pool booking system was user-friendly with options to book both pools, forum and Dylan's. Noticeably, some guests were not happy with the stairs leading to the pool, describing them as dirty. Despite this minor issue, the pool and tennis facilities at this hotel were great. While some appreciated the underground parking and location, others found it to be a hassle and expensive. A few guests even reported damage to their cars in the car park. The charges for parking were a particular sore point for many with some calling it a disgraceful and appalling practice for a hotel to charge for parking. The walk from the car park to the hotel was also a source of complaint for some. However, a few guests found complimentary parking and were happy with the location of the car park. Overall, parking appears to be a significant issue for guests staying at The Manor House At Celtic Manor.

Family
The Manor House At Celtic Manor is a great choice for a family break as there are plenty of activities for kids to enjoy. From adventure golf to swimming, there's always something to keep them occupied. The hotel also offers leisure facilities that we absolutely loved, perfect for a spa day or a night out with friends. We enjoyed a lovely dinner with our family, but unfortunately, the pricing of the activities was quite expensive and out of our budget. The hotel is massive with lots to do, but unfortunately, not enough signs or directions were given between the conference centre and the resort, which caused confusion. Although there were some maintenance issues that ought to be addressed, the staff were excellent and very helpful to elderly guests. Our only suggestion would be that the hotel should offer children's menus for elderly guests. Additionally, there was a lack of literature available to explain anything about the hotel. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this hotel as a superb option for a short family break.

Golf
The Manor House At Celtic Manor is a stunning location for a golfing break with guests enjoying the convenience of a hotel shuttle bus to transport them across the course. The golf course itself is fantastic with great views and plenty of options for avid golfers. The resort also offers family activities such as adventure golf and swimming. However, some guests were disappointed to find out about a walk to the resort only after waiting for transport and others thought it unfair to charge guests for golfing activities. Overall, The Manor House is a lovely, scenic place perfect for a golfing getaway or a special occasion, as one guest fondly recalled celebrating their wedding night there 40 years ago.

4 Star
The Manor House at Celtic Manor has mixed reviews when it comes to their 4-star rating. Some guests express that the hotel is not fit for purpose and question the rating. However, others have had good to very good experiences during their stay. The overall consensus is that it's a great place to stay. Not many negative comments were made about the facilities or services, except for one guest who believed that it was more like a 3-star hotel rather than a 4-star. Some reviewers suggested that the price is too high for the amenities provided, likening it to having benefits of a Premier Inn. Although the Manor House may have been living on its old reputation, it's clear that there were no major issues found during guests' stays. If you're considering a stay here, be sure to take note of the 8.00/10 rating. One thing that stood out to many guests was the four poster bed, which was a highlight for them.
