Very Good
Location
Nestled in a stunning countryside setting, Passford House Hotel is the quintessential traditional hotel with beautiful grounds that surround the property. It boasts a lovely location in the New Forest, giving a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere where guests can explore the outdoors and enjoy the gardens. While the remoteness of the location is fabulous, the hotel is situated down a narrow country lane and can be reached via tortuous routes, but the stunning views make it all worth it. Despite being isolated, it is close to Lymington, Burley or Brockenhurst and the location is very handy for a short drive to these towns. Many guests loved the location and considered it the perfect base to explore New Forest and take a short drive to Lymington for attractions such as the coastal town. Some prefer rooms that do not face the entrance drive which can be a little noisy, but inside the hotel, guests can relax by the cosy fires and soak up the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. All in all, the superb location, great staff and fantastic facilities make Passford House Hotel an impressive place to stay.

Breakfast
Guests of Passford House Hotel can expect a delicious and comprehensive breakfast menu with plenty of choices available. The food is excellent and of good quality with many guests particularly enjoying the starters and sticky toffee pudding. While some guests found the breakfast service to be slow, the breakfast itself is definitely worth the additional cost (which is not included in the room rate). The buffet-style breakfast may be expensive for some, but it provides a good range of food on offer and guests appreciate being able to choose how much they take to avoid waste. Fresh pastries and exceptional options like cheese souffle are also available. Overall, the breakfast is enjoyable for everyone in the family and is good value for money.

Dinner
Passford House Hotel provides guests with a delicious dining experience that exceeds expectations. Although some guests found the dinner menu limited, the quality of the food was excellent and generous. Guests have described the food as wonderful, delicious and fine dining at its best. The evening meals were not always available due to staff shortages at the time of the visit or because of COVID restrictions. Despite this, the restaurant food remained very good, although potentially expensive. For families with young children, there might be limited options available. However, the attentive and friendly restaurant staff should be able to help with alternative arrangements. In general, guests were very happy with the dinner experience, which is described as delicious, superb and excellent. If you stay for several nights, the menu is not changed, which can become repetitive. Ultimately, dining at Passford House Hotel is a lovely experience and it is a great place to enjoy a lovely dinner.

Rooms
Passford House Hotel is a traditional hotel located in a stunning green and lush location that offers guests a beautiful view. Many guests have found the rooms to be very comfortable with spacious and comfy beds and pillows. However, some guests have found the hotel a bit dated and in need of updating with some rooms being small and cluttered. While some rooms were beautifully decorated and well-maintained with updates like huge bathrooms, others had a musty damp smell, mouldy and smelly shower areas and dated dining rooms. Despite these hiccups, most guests have enjoyed their stay and the clean facilities the hotel offers. They have praised the well-maintained rooms and public areas, excellent Gold view and bright leisure centre. The hotel also boasts a rich history with lovely characterful rooms and guests can enjoy their private seating areas in the courtyard. Although some guests lacked privacy and found the sound proofing lacking, Passford House Hotel is a perfect place for a relaxing break with great leisure facilities to enjoy.

Beds
Passford House Hotel is a charming traditional hotel situated in a stunning location. Guests rave about the comfortable beds with some describing them as the most comfortable they've ever slept in. However, a few others found the beds a bit too hard or soft for their liking and some of the individual divan beds were deemed too small. Overall, the size of the rooms and beds were good and the quality of the beds were above expectation. The rooms themselves were described as lovely and comfortable with excellent quality bedding and plenty of options to choose from. The only complaints were about a few squeaky or old mattresses, but those seem to be exceptions rather than the norm.

Cleanliness
Passford House Hotel has received mixed reviews regarding its cleanliness. While a few guests reported that their rooms and the hotel in general were not clean, many praised the hotel's cleanliness. Some guests reported that the rooms were spotlessly clean, some mentioned that they were cleaned every day due to Covid and a few said that the hotel's facilities were well kept. The staff was also commended for their excellent service. Despite a few complaints about dated decor and a few cobwebs, most guests would definitely come back to this beautiful hotel with well-cared-for grounds, great food, comfortable and relaxing rooms and good cleanliness overall.

Staff
Passford House Hotel's staff have received glowing reviews from guests who found them to be friendly, helpful and caring. Many guests have commended the staff for going above and beyond in ensuring their stay was enjoyable with nothing being too much trouble. The waiting staff in the dining room were also praised for their excellent service. While some guests noted inexperienced staff, the majority were delighted with their exceptional service with one guest describing them as 'stunning.' Staff were commended for being professional, polite and accommodating throughout the hotel, making guests feel like they were being looked after by family. With superb facilities and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, guests have had nothing but positive experiences with Passford House Hotel's fantastic staff.

Wi-Fi
While staying at Passford House Hotel, guests may experience difficulty with the wifi connectivity. Many reviews describe the wifi as poor or not great with some guests noting that it did not work at all in their rooms. Others found the connectivity to be hit and miss with a weak signal and some difficulty in accessing the network. Additionally, some reviewers noted that mobile connection is poor in the area. Despite these challenges, guests can still enjoy the traditional charm of the hotel and its beautiful location.

Pool
The Passford House Hotel boasts a delightful swimming pool with both indoor and outdoor options. Guests can enjoy a heated indoor pool area or take a dip in the great outdoor swimming pool. Although the outdoor swimming pool was closed during our visit, the indoor swimming pool was reasonable and enjoyable. The pool was mentioned positively multiple times with guests describing it as lovely, amazing and warm and clean. Families with children were particularly fond of the pool, as the kids loved it and found it fun to use. However, some guests found the indoor pool to be disappointingly small with a shower area that was reminiscent of outdated ones from the 60s. Despite this, the indoor pool was still considered a treat by others. Some guests also noted that the outdoor pool was closed during their visit or that they were disappointed to find it shut after thinking they would have access to it. Overall, the Passford House Hotel's pool was a nice touch with both indoor and outdoor options available.

Family
Passford House Hotel is a great place for families looking to explore New Forest. While there were no specific activities mentioned for kids, dogs are welcome and treated well. However, some guests felt that the hotel wasn't as dog-friendly as advertised. The Superior family room is spacious, but may not be suitable for families with young children. The hotel has facilities that are perfect for dogs and offers a kids high tea which can be enjoyed in the lounges. The location is amazing, right in the heart of New Forest and close to the coastal town of Lymington. Although there may not be a ton of activities for kids, there is plenty to do if you want to be active. The hotel is comfortable and perfect for large groups with young children. Overall, it is a lovely venue to spend quality time with loved ones.

Indoor Pool
The indoor pool area at Passford House Hotel is a real treat for guests. Although some have mentioned that the pool is small and difficult to swim in, others have thoroughly enjoyed it along with the sauna. Guests also have the option of using the outdoor pool which is surprisingly warm. Aside from the pools, guests have raved about the hotel's massive grounds, variety of facilities, lovely staff and great bar for the evening. All in all, Passford House Hotel offers a wonderful indoor pool area and much more.

Dog Friendly
Passford House Hotel is a traditional hotel located in a beautiful location, however some guests found the £30 dog fee to be steep. Mixed messages were given about how dog friendly the hotel was with some saying it was not dog friendly and even suggesting leaving the dog in the car. However, others reported that dogs were welcome and treated well with ideal facilities for dogs. One guest was disappointed as they were told their dog would have to stay in the car if it barked, while others had a great experience and appreciated the dog friendly atmosphere. Overall, the hotel is considered dog friendly, but be sure to clarify the rules and regulations before booking.
